ThompsonHoosier Posted March 4, 2020 Author Posted March 4, 2020 Credit to Respectable Adam:Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile appThe number of transfers at IU is not unusual. It just sucks because we don't have as much depth as some of the bigger programs. I was not surprised by Gest's or Ronnie's decision but I'm definitely puzzled by Sampson's. He was looking at an extended role this upcoming season with the possibility of being the lead back the following year. Stuhoo Posted March 4, 2020 Posted March 4, 2020 So our rb rotation will likely be: Scott, Baldwin, Lloyd. That'll be just fine. Quote

Definitely need one more and potentially a position change to add another for emergencies if Speigal can’t keep up. When is the last time IU didn’t have an injured RB during the season? Can’t roll with just 3 guys. Ironically OSU is finding themselves in a potentially even more dire situation. Hopefully the kid from Arkansas doesn’t get offered by them and we can land him Quote

David Ellis started to be used in the backfield as the rotation was hit by injury late last season. I’d look for him to be there a fair amount during spring. Stuhoo 1 Quote

He was the first guy I thought of as a potential position change but I assume that would require the WR corp (esp Whop) to stay healthy and Rashawn Williams ability to start day one unless there’s a RS Freshman whos made strides. Da’Shaun Brown immediately comes to mind along with Jordan Jakes. Quote

Ellis will likely be a guy that moves around a lot just to get him the ball a little like how Taylor was used before he moved to defense. Quote

Who knows why some of the players weren't able to perform on the football field. I was talking in terms of a 'Depth Chart' meaning there's players behind the starters. That doesn't mean, as you have clearly indicated here that they're productive on the field. It just means, the roster has backups to fill a spot should a spot need filled. IU now has some holes to fill the depth chart. VPC 1 Quote
