A.j. Nigh Posted January 15, 2018 Posted January 15, 2018 I think Reddish likes to shoot. Neither he nor their guards feed the post. More than once Jake was open with nice position, and they never even ball faked or tried. These games are just glorified AAU games IMO.Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app IUsafety, Iugradman, Class of '66 Old Fart and 1 other 4 Quote
mdn82 Posted January 15, 2018 Posted January 15, 2018 He will not be dribbling much. His points if any will be from rebounds or pick and roll.Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners VO5, HooHooHoo22, A.j. Nigh and 3 others 6 Quote
HoosierAloha Posted January 15, 2018 Posted January 15, 2018 ESPN hyping Reddish as much as they can when the few minutes I've watched he's been flat terrible. The best thing he did was, finally, pass the basketball to a wide open teammate in transition. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners 323SGrant, A.j. Nigh and mdn82 3 Quote
JSHoosier Posted January 15, 2018 Posted January 15, 2018 Not sure how much more I'll watch so I wanted to give my thoughts. I'll preface with his team really isn't utilizing him in this game, so that has to be factored in these thoughts. Off what I saw I'd consider him a high energy player with upside. I'd suggest tempering expectations on first year contributions, but that's not uncommon for a freshman. He ran the floor and got good position on rebounds. Defense needs work as well as offense. He clanged a couple free throws as well as a pretty good look at a 15 foot jumper. A couple of times I saw the ball hit him in the hands and he couldn't bring it in; once on a rebound, but he was quick on the floor for the loose ball. It's the Cam Reddish show so you don't have much to go off of offensively. Not much passing by anyone on his team. mdn82 and IUBBFan1970 2 Quote
WayneFleekHoosier Posted January 15, 2018 Posted January 15, 2018 Westtown not interested in playing D. Sad. Forrester a much, much bigger factor than he was last season. Seems like a good teammate. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners Iugradman 1 Quote

WayneFleekHoosier Posted January 15, 2018 Posted January 15, 2018 RJ Barrett is the prize. Reddish is skilled but has bad basketball IQ. Duke can probably coach him up though. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners Iugradman 1 Quote
WayneFleekHoosier Posted January 15, 2018 Posted January 15, 2018 Darius Days matching up against Forrester much of the game. Good big bodied player. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners Quote

HooHooHoo22 Posted January 15, 2018 Posted January 15, 2018 No way Duke is gonna let Reddish play like this. He’s single handedly keeping them in the game and also losing the game for Westtown. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners WayneFleekHoosier, 323SGrant and mdn82 3 Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted January 15, 2018 Author Posted January 15, 2018 In some respects playing second fiddle to Reddish might be beneficial from an attitude standpoint. Forrester won't be coming in with the 'look at me' attitude. Iugradman, Hoosierfan2017, WayneFleekHoosier and 2 others 5 Quote

AKHoosier Posted January 15, 2018 Posted January 15, 2018 I like Forrester, he's got the tools and motor but man will he benefit from some D-1 level coaching. Probably won't do too much next year but that's ok. A.j. Nigh, Iugradman and mdn82 3 Quote

mdn82 Posted January 15, 2018 Posted January 15, 2018 Interesting discussion on ESPN recruiting after the game who could be the next Trae Young. Kid ranked out of the top 10 who will. Biancardi picked Garland because he will be the man at Vandy. The other dude picked Grimes at Kansas for the same reasons. The third guy picked Dosunmu. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners Quote
JSHoosier Posted January 16, 2018 Posted January 16, 2018 14 and 8, better than I was thinking. I flipped back and forth quite a bit so obviously I missed a lot. Quote
