Yeah I think about 90% of what Glass is saying is BS but then again he can't just come out and say it if the medical stuff was true without opening another can of worms.

Well he did mention he thought the problems had been taken care of at time of extension. But bubbled up again as this season continued.

Very happy Tom Allen is succeeding Wilson, on many levels. Continuity, recruiting, coaching chops, and unbridled enthusiasm. Win,win,win,win.

As for the rest of this mess, I'll just tip my hat to CKW in appreciation. He took a job people weren't exactly lining up for and made us a respectable program. This is the first time in 70 years the keys have been passed on and the program wasn't  trending down (excluding Hep-to-Lynch). Thanks coach.

Now let's go win that bowl!

I'm in the minority but I wish we would've at least made a push for Strong or Miles. Maybe we did and there was no interest on their end. Regardless, it looks like we're in good hands and we'll keep the momentum going.

This is all an extremely odd situation. 

I assume they moved quickly on Allen for a few reasons. They wanted to keep current players and recruits on board, wanted to make sure they didn't lose Allen to another school, and they wanted there to be a sense of continuity. 

Allen might end up being a fantastic head coach. I hope he's the best in program history. I just wish that the athletic department could have made him interim until the bowl game, and then conducted a thorough search. Obviously, there are a lot of factors at play, so I understand why it didn't happen. 

Now Allen has to go out and make the right hire at OC. He cannot miss there. Keep Frey and McCollugh around. I'm still excited for the future, just a little more confused and nervous now.

That's false, had he not taken this resignation deal he would've been fired. If he was fired he would have made his base salary until he got a new coaching job and someone with his offensive mind/track record will get a job. So basically if he goes out and gets a job for next season he makes the money from IU for a year on top of his new contract, if he would've got fired he would've only gotten his new contract. Pretty sure if the rumors were all true he could have been fired with cause and not gotten a dime from us.
