Well , now that has to be a bit embarrassing.

I don't think anyone would say that this past year wasn't the best of the three years under CAM regardless of Big Ten finish. If we are going to talk about the 'only stat that matters', I'd go with postseason. We went from no postseason, to NIT, to NCAA tournament (bottom line, we were going to be in the NCAA tourney this past year). Not being happy with the past three years -- which I'm not either -- doesn't change that we have shown improvement. The degree to which we have improved might not be acceptable, but I don't know how anyone could deny that it has been present.

It’s the hot take too damn prideful to admit I’m wrong society but it really effected sports entertainment. People don’t feel like they’re heard unless they throw crazy shot against the wall time and time again to get a response. I love the BtownBanners community but damn do we get on some hot take tangents. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

Harmon has always seemed to be a great guy. He grew up a fan of RMK and liked the way IU played. He KNOWS that our fanbase is as savvy about hoops as any.

I don’t think anyone gets upset at the criticism. It’s the over the top complaining about our situation. By your post you would agree it hasn’t been pretty. Or even bad by your definition. Your initial response I quoted had nothing to do with critical. It had everything to do with Justin Smith playing for an actual good coach. It had to do with maybe he will get to play in the tournament. Look at your post here even saying we make it. But going to a new school next year he has a chance. Not just that a top 25 team. Granted preseason polls suck, but if you can’t see why someone would call you out on your post on an IU board I don’t know what to say. You are complaining like people are jumping on you for criticism. No I jumped on you because your post was just false. You can feel how you want about Archie Miller. I don’t honestly care or so many people here. The other stuff was just over the top cause you wanted to whine because you dislike the coach we have. Next time you are asking yourself why poor me? That’s why. But if Big Ten records are all that matter I suppose there is a school to the west that generally feels the same. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

Right.. at least it’s me and not someone worse off. Thanks, I believe if I had it it’s long gone. If I can get the antibody test somewhere I’d like to get that done. If I didn’t have it and clotted while therapeutic.. FML Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

Well that would be great if what I was responding to was the team improving, buuut it wasn't. It was in response to LCS flat out lying about specific players getting worse. I guess you didn't get that part.

He is just the type of kid with the work he puts in you hear of and continual growth that is just a dream. This is the kid you want in 1990 as much as 2020. He is just going to be a player, and a dominant one potentially. You put him with Lander and the sky is the limit. No matter where he ends up I am tracking him. Would love to see him reach that potential and become a top 5 pick. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

(2021) SF - Aminu Mohammed to Georgetown

Harmon sent out a tweet maybe a moth ago musing on things for Mohammed to work on without AAU obligations. I responded that I thought the kid needed to develop a really effective catch and shoot game to most efficiently pair him with an elite primary creator. Mentioned that I thought his footwork and gather were a little sloppy off the catch. Didn’t give it another thought. A couple of weeks later he posts video of him putting the kid through a series of drills coming off baseline pin downs and squaring up for wing jumpers. Mentions specifically working on his gather. Yeah, I’ve got that kind of juice.

    Coronavirus and Its Impact

In general infectious diseases don't 'kill you' per se, it usually accelerates the death by 'attacking' something in particular in your body system. A really good example is HIV/AIDS. Another way to look at this is statistical counts of car fatalities. Someone could for example die due to loss of blood. But the statistic still counts as a car fatality.

I still think the cases overall are overstated but it is just my opinion and I admit I could be wrong. Colorado updated their numbers recently and they did decrease the number of deaths as a result of Covid. https://amp.coloradoan.com/amp/5198485002 I don’t think we will know much about over or under count though until about July when we have had a chance to compare year on year total deaths for Jan-Jun of 2020 to other years. Yeah this is pretty icy exchange. No mention by Miller of Smith's basketball contributions and not a mention of Miller at all as Smith thanks fans, friends, teammates the program, and the Kelley S of B. Even if he misspells Kelley after spending 3 yrs there. “Justin Smith and I had a conversation recently where we discussed his future and the feedback from the NBA,” IU coach Archie Miller said in a statement. “In that discussion, he made the decision to graduate and transfer for his final season of eligibility. “I support his decision and wish Justin and his family all the best in this next chapter. I’m proud of his growth as a person. He’s a great young man and has been a terrific role model off the court and in the classroom. He obtained his degree in three years from IU’s Kelley School of Business and we thank him for all of his contributions to Indiana University and our program.” “After much thought, prayer and discussion with people I trust, I have decided to enter the transfer portal as a graduate transfer,” Smith posted on Twitter Friday afternoon. “I want to thank Indiana University, the IU Mens Basketball program and the awesome fans of Indiana for three amazing years in pinstripes. “To my teammate, you are my brothers. I wish you nothing but the best on the bright path to complete our unfulfilled 2020 NCAA tournament dreams. “The Hoosier Experience, the Kelly Business School degree, and the friends I’ve made in Bloomington in and outside of the basketball program will be forever treasured.”
