Not to be anal, but if PR is a US territory, how can this be an international trip? -

I've done some work with IU, and when it comes to things like websites and marketing, we had to go to central departments that from what I could tell seem to do it for the whole school. And let me tell you they move slow. So I suspect the athletic dept has to submit what they want for the bball webpage to that central IT department that does the websites. It's probably some combination of the AD being lazy and the IT department being slow. This isn't a big deal, but it's amateurish and it sort of annoys me because it's a basic effort thing. And really our whole athletics site looks terrible. I know this is a pointless rant, but I'll post it anyways... -

Brunson is so, so good but if I’m a Knicks fan I’m furious with how often his foul baiting led to stupid turnovers. At least 2 in OT and plenty of examples of it leading to bad possessions without one showing up in the box score As a Pacers fan? Flop away brother. -

RIP Jim Irsay. Dude obviously had some pretty pronounced demons, but he always genuinely seemed to love the city and after seeing Stan Kroenke up close I really grew to appreciate that Jim cared more about winning than about maximizing the value of his team as a commodity. -

It doesn't suck at all. It is a beautiful ballpark and does a world class job hosting. It is inconvenient for fan bases not named Iowa or Nebraska which is definitely a problem. A rotation between Omaha and other more centrally located parks would make sense, but having it in Omaha as a rotating site makes all the sense in the world to showcase it. You are talking as a fan who doesn't like the distance which is understandable and that is why it should rotate to centrally located places. However, having it there some years (not most as conference does) is great for multiple reasons. -

Yea. Reminds me of when Scalabrine did the "Scallenge" vs. HS/D2/D1 challengers. IIRC no games were even close, most guys can't even score a point against him. As Brian said, "I'm closer to LeBron than you are to me." -

Absolutely, and I’m not sure even a lot of Pacers fans have an appropriate appreciation for just how good that guy is. SGA and Doncic are in another tier, but after those 2 I wouldn’t take any other PG in the League to run my team over that guy. Not 1. To get the ball to the right guy in the right spot over and over as efficiently as he does, unbelievable. Different player, but he’s borderline prime Chris Paul as a QB. And because he does, everybody runs, everybody gets to spots because they know he’s gonna create and find them. Oh, and then he just freaking makes shots. No disrespect to Sabonis or De’Aaron Fox, but how did Sacramento misread what they had so badly? -

Wow. If you’re inclined toward the conspiratorial, a sequence of the Mavs gifting Doncic to the Lakers for 50 cents on the dollar followed by them then hitting the 50-1 shot for Cooper Flagg, is about as tidy a fix as is imaginable. I’m not, but, man, that is just so bad. -

Saw Reggie’s 8 points in the final seconds to down the Knicks in that historic playoff game. Have never before or after seen 1 player completely demoralize and silence an entire arena like that. Reggie remains my favorite player of all time, partly for that sequence. I love Haliburton’s trajectory as a Pacer and all around elite player. He isn’t the pointedly taunting, disrespectful get under your skin player Regg was, but his level of class while playing elite clutch ball is special -

Happy Birthday. I will be celebrating my 49th in two weeks. I recommend taking any old person to Mother Bears for their birthday and treating them. 76% off for my mom last night was fantastic. -

The fantastic son I am, I took my mom to Mother Bears on the west side for her 76th birthday last night. Around 7:30 in the evening, I looked up and Coach DDV, Rod Clark, and DDV daughter all walked in. After our dinner, we walked over to say welcome to Bloomington and told coach it was my mom's birthday and that she had spent 42 years working at the University. Super nice people, were so gracious, felt like we could have talked for an hour. My brother, who wasn't sold on the hire, has now met him, plus heard a couple of other stories has changed his tune. -

Players can tweet whatever they want, but I’d prefer to leave the Mike Woodson “woe is us, it’s the fans fault” mentality in the rearview mirror, and Goode was a part of that. We don’t need him with the guys DD has brought in. -

Who cares? He’s a face up 5 that dives and cuts to the rim. He doesn’t play on the block. 65% of Danny Wolf’s shots were at the rim last year and I guarantee you nobody takes issue with calling him a perimeter-oriented player. -

Rabby says that since IU is now at 10 on the roster, they're looking for another big or maybe adding another really good player if given the chance then moving to HS players. The staff feels good about the roster now. He also says, again, that he feels good about IU's chance to land Dezmon Briscoe if they want him. Going by that, it looks as though they see Bailey playing as a 5. -

Notice that my original post was over 6 years ago. I'm an avid reader and just started reading books written by James Rollins. Just started Map of Bones published in 2005. There it is near the bottom of page 4: "Listen. It's Godsmack's new single. It's not even released in the states yet. How cool is that?" Damn near spit a mouthful of Jack across the room. I've been convinced that the bulk of the names that get posted in this thread are totally fabricated. -

Completely unrelated to the above, I've been on a mostly metal instrumental music vein for some time. Cloudkicker is one of those rock/metal bands most haven't heard of but that if they had vocals they'd probably be well known in rock. Not a bunch of speed/screaming guitars (that gets kind of dull pretty quickly), both heavy gain-backed guttural guitars and pure acoustic work, some of the best stuff I've listened to, here's a couple Seattle - builds beautifully It's inside me and I'm inside it - chill
