So I couldn’t get much from him unfortunately. But, to me that’s a good thing. There’s been pretty much zero chatter, nor leaks for a month about coaches. He said it doesn’t matter that the season is still going on, he would still hear of legitimate names. And he hasn’t. I asked him if the “5 min zoom call” was legitimate. He laughed and said no. No one at brads status would only give 5 min of time. That’s disrespectful. I also asked if he heard the $100 million number and if there was a verbal agreement (which came from the IU sources via Chris, Yeagley, etc). He hadn’t heard that but he did confidently say Brad turned down a 7 year 70 million offer last time. I asked if I should trust the IU sources from a weeks ago, and he said at this point I could, because it’s eerily quiet on his end. He thinks Dolson has known for months who the next coach will be. That’s all I’ve got.

Good evening all,' It's been quite some time.. As I've garnered some recent inside information, I wanted to share the knowledge with the BTB family. As most of you know, I've held a close relationship with Coach Woodson over the last 4 years; be it our Saturday iHop visits, golfing, and sharing coacoa at my log cabin residence.. it pains me to see him go.. With that being said, he has let me in on the likely candidates for the position. From the words of Scott Dolson, "Archie Miller is the answer." Dolson doesn't believe we gave Miller the time that he needed to bring this program back to glory, and believes that Scott Drew's recent testacle surgery would make him a liability. While I do believe that Archie has this job locked up, my personal co-sign for the job goes to Andrew Toole, head coach of the Robert Morris University Colonials. Has he shown success? No. Does he have any type of proven track record? No, he doesn't. What he does have, is an absolute smokeshow of a wife; I mean an absolute rocket, which leads me to believe that Toole has a shaft like a Subway Cold Cut.. This is the type of energy we need to see within this program.. Do we truly believe Coach Knight wasn't packing an absolute lantern between his limbs? Oh. And I asked what his deal was with the article he wrote on the IU coaching search. “Guessing just like everyone else. IU is a huge program, writing articles is part of the job, but it gets views because it’s IU”.

This is Scott and Scott alone. I'm sure he will talk with some close to him but he's making the final decision. We have plenty of money to spend but we're not going 10 million or above for any of the other coaches not named Brad. Also, one donor's big money is only for Brad.

My mom passed away in 2013 . I lived about 4 blocks from her and she would call me 4-5 times a week because she screwed up the satellite and couldn't get her shows. As much as I would get frustrated at times, I now wish I was doing it again. Enjoy it while they are here

People can pine after Chris Beard all they want but when's the last time he made the Big 10 tournament? That's right, NEVER.

Do have do give Carlyle some kudos. Kid isn't playing much now but still seems engaged. Very active on the bench and when he is in, he's giving effort even when the results aren't great.

In my opinion, the most likely scenario is that Dolson does not have his guy, but that he does have a strong list of top (maybe 3-5) candidates that he is extremely confident he has the resources to land and maybe even has back-channel high interest from a couple. The telephone game has probably turned that into "Dolson has his guy" by the time that info has gotten to places like this and other fan message boards, etc.

So RTZ sources have been saying it's Brad for a while. But he also has a friend who is big in the world of CBB and yesterday he met with him to see what he was hearing. So basically the national media is not hearing anything about the IU job and just throwing out the same usual names.

One thing I'm certain of: When the coach is announced/introduced, we will be told he was our main (and perhaps only) target.

People have been saying that so that is why people have heard it. I had a friend who went to a donors gathering before the Purdue game at Cook Hall and they were telling people that Scott had his guy but wouldn't name names. So don't know if their just saying that or what. I can't imagine Scott has told very many people if he does have his guy.

I don’t get why if Dolson supposedly has known who the next coach would be for months, the scheduling of the games has nothing to do with the next coach? If you have a coach in waiting, wouldn’t you get their opinion on scheduling? Seems unlikely they would know months in advance. Maybe a good sense for their options, and now do know. Maybe. Looking forward to announcing a really good coach.

Trying to get her to FaceTime to get logged back into YouTube TV is one of the most exhausting things I’ve done. I guess we better enjoy while we can.

My tidbit is it’s exhausting living in the same town as your aging mom. Dang smoke detector got me out of the house. But she doesn’t know who the next coach is going to be.

As a NON-INSIDER (want to again make that very clear), I have not heard anything from my person to make me think we aren’t all going to be quite happy. But I’ve definitely learned my lesson on sharing anything positive and would just say to continue to lean on the true insiders that are on this board. Those guys catch hell from time to time, but really are clued into what’s happening and we should all be thankful they continue to show up and share what they hear.
