I think our secondary will be highly improved with Wesley Green and Jayme Thompson in the mix. Plus we have Fant and Crawford returning. Hopefully we can limit the big plays and get back to a bowl game! Edit: Candidate for a breakout year- Mike Majette4 points -

I know this is a "thank you captain obvious" moment, but my main concern is QB. If Lagow steps up and gives us a solid starting QB we can count on we're in a bowl game. If he doesn't prove to be ready, it will be close. Our running game can carry us some, but you at least have to be decent in the air. I think this is the season the defense becomes competent (not a glaring weakness).4 points -

Bozich said on podcast on the brink that mcswain is athletic but needs to work on his basketball skills. That being said a guy that can get some boards steals and put backs is always a welcomed commodity. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners3 points -
Much like Yogi last year, Thomas Bryant did not come back merely to improve his draft stock, he came back to accomplish what he came to IU for; to win. We have been clamoring for leaders at IUBB that are not satisfied with their season if it brings any result other than a national championship. Thomas Bryant feels that way...in a big way. His teammates will need to buy in or get out of his way. With leaders like Thomas, they will buy in.3 points

I love our run game. Redding is woefully under appreciated for how much he's improved, Majette is like a rocket (just hold on to the ball!), Enis intrigues me, and then guys like A Rod and Natee can move the pile (if you haven't, go watch his film now). And if Patrick comes back healthy... I'm excited for Tom Allen's defense. We were apparently much more aggressive in the spring and to be honest, I'm ok giving up big plays if we at least try something different instead of sitting in a base package every play and still giving up 600 yards. The pass rush will be key. I really like our depth at LB and DB. Jayme Thompson is a stud.2 points -

Excited and skeptical. Hoping for best. I fear we just miss a bowl game by a game. Hoping Lagow can put the WR corps to work and that the new D coordinator shows improvement. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners2 points -

I wouldn't mind seeing OG playing alongside DD at times. I don't expect DD to provide much on offense but him and OG could be a pain defending the opponents front line. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners1 point -

I love discussing starting lineups all day, but I'm thrilled about the depth we have. We have possibly Newkirk as a backup, and then Morgan and Davis in a similar situation. That's not to mention CuJo and Green. I maybe missing someone, but I really like this team! Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners1 point -
I just think that if you're going to go 3-guard, then you need to go OG, Morgan or Davis at the 4 spot. It's just too small for my liking to have Hartman at the 4 when you're also playing 3 guards.1 point

You can also add Zeisloft and to a certain extent Max Beilfeldt to the list of diamonds in the rough. Remember, Nick Z was a five point a game two-year role player at Illinois State, and after two years at Indiana he's getting a workout with the Dallas Mavericks.1 point -
