Remember when the Redskins moved up from 5 to 2 to get RG3? They got multiple 1st rounders and 2nd rounders. 12 to 3 even with another 1st rounder in the same year I think you could get next years picks too. You guys are in a great spot. NYG being in the best obviously. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Yeah. If there is a QB they love then it should be a pretty easy, and again next year's pass rush class blows this one away. Plus moving back to 12 makes way more sense for a Raquan Smith or Edmunds at ILB which is the worst position on the Colts defense mdn82 1 Quote

mdn82 Posted March 13, 2018 Posted March 13, 2018 Harold Landry may be there at 22I think this class has some depth. Only Nelson, Chubb, Barkley, and maybe Fitzpatrick are surefire top end players. But there are some good defensive players out there in that 10-20 range. Would be a great year to have two 1st round picks if defense is your issue. I wish my Bears did. I think the Colts are in a great spot to take an elite player or get a couple more first round picks. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Dalton26 1 Quote
KingPG21 Posted March 13, 2018 Posted March 13, 2018 I've gotta laugh at the people who are mad about Hitchens. Dude isn't worth 9 million a year, maybe 6.5 or 7 million a year. Kuechly is making 12.6 with the next highest at ILB being Wagner at 10.7. He is being paid just short of being an all pro linebacker, which he isn't even close to. Quote
Baltimore Hoosier Posted March 13, 2018 Posted March 13, 2018 It's funny reading some of this content. Sounds eerily similar to the Ravens message boards. Both were supposed to be big FA spenders, both have done next to nothing to address holes to date.. At least the Colts most likely have the pick of the best non-QB in the draft outside of Barkley. Chubb? Minkah Fitzpatrick? There are some stud defensive guys coming out this year. The Ravens are in no-man's-land at #16. Quote

It came from the people who were fine with spending 14 million a year on a guard, or 9+ million a year on a solid starter at ILB which isn't a premium position. People who would rather be in cap hell 5 years down the road, like the Jags are looking like they will be in 2-3 years Quote

I think it's just the salary cap space they have. Even though Ballard has said many times that he is going to be very selective and not build the team through free agency, many see that cap space and just think they should be overspending. Quote

KingPG21 Posted March 13, 2018 Posted March 13, 2018 People are freaking out over the Colts not paying 16 million to Sammie Watkins, 8 million a year to Paul Richardson, 8 million to some guy named Albert Wilson, and 9 million to Hitchens....... Lol, okay Quote

cbp4iu Posted March 13, 2018 Posted March 13, 2018 Honestly I think colts have a similar free agency to last year this offseason. Except I think colts trade the 3rd pick to the Jets at 6.And get The 37th and 49th pick. But then shipping the 6th and like a 5th round pick to Buffalo for the 12th 22nd and 56th pick. I see Ballard trying to stock as many picks as possible. thebigweave 1 Quote

Baltimore Hoosier Posted March 14, 2018 Posted March 14, 2018 Let's not forget Ozzie Newsome and the Ravens overspending and looking like a tanking franchise by continuing a string of bad free agent signings. This one was a doozy: Ryan Grant for $29MM over 4 years.. Unbelievable. The Ravens will have a hell of a battle for the WR3 spot this offseason. Problem is, there is no WR1 or WR2. Quote
