FAIR WEATHER FAN!!!

The colts want to win they're just not doing a very good job of accomplishing that.

They aren't doing a very good job of even pretending to accomplish that.

May this point they are the definition of insanity.

I'm not really going to be a broncos fan but honestly I don't care about the colts. Fire Grigson or Pagano and if at least be intrigued. But I've seen this show now 5 years in a row and it wasn't that great the first year.

As you get older there are a lot of things that compete for "fandom" and as your favorite teams move to consistently poor teams they slide back on the priority scale. For some, that looks like fair weather "fandom" but for me there are priorities to life.

You never completely lose that tether to your favorite teams but each year they drop on the priority scale the thinner the tether gets.

I'm sorry but that's the most absurd thing I've read all day. Age has nothing to do with how much of a fan you are. Getting upset and frustrated with your franchise is fine, but to say you just set that franchise aside and choose to root for another team for now because they're doing better....that's just called being a bandwagon fan.

Yeah. But I think falling back on the priority scale isn't the same as rooting for other teams like people on here are talking about. These past two seasons getting up to watch Colts games has gone further back on my list of things I want to do, I still root for them. Just choosing to not root for the team you claim to be a fan of, for whatever reason, to me seems like just being a fair weather fan.

Never said anything about other teams, I said other things in life.

Guess I misunderstood then, I thought we were discussing rooting for other teams because your team isn't winning. I agree with you that there are other things in life that you have to prioritize before sports.

Cool - reread some comments above mine and some were suggesting that. Can understand your comment now.

The playoffs this year will be awful; this weekend was only the beginning. NFL is just bad football right now. New England is going to walk to the Super Bowl and probably win it to cap off one of the most boring NFL seasons anyone can remember in a long time.

Terrible season.

New England and Dallas would pull giant ratings though.

Please someone, anyone beat the patriots.

Irsay strikes again…we're rapidly approaching Cleveland Browns territory.

Manning was interested in part-ownership of the team…Irsay and his daughters couldn't agree to an equity stake, so no deal.

With the Manning deal dead, Gruden wanted full control of the roster and team. Irsay had a long meeting with Grigson Friday, and ended up staying loyal to his friend. So no Gruden.

Oh, and if Manning had gained part-ownership, he supposedly would have fired Grigson.

So now it not only looks like Pagano is staying in spite of all this, but Grigson will be our GM for as long as he wants because Irsay will never want to fire him.

I'm thinking about putting all my Colts related items in the nearest yard sale this spring. Unreal how far this organization has fallen.

Source? You're the only person I've seen say this version.
