Colts / NFL Game Thread

So now we have IU maybe waiting on Brad and the Colts maybe waiting on Peyton. Seemed a good idea initially but hard to believe two of my teams running with the same strategy at the same time.

Time will tell I guess but for now I will root for IU and Holtman, I mean Butler.

I really think Irsay's brain has been so severely addled by painkillers/prescription meds that he's completely incapable of realizing Andrew Luck and a horrible division are the only things that kept this team from the 5 or 6 win season it really deserved.

Irsay likes Pagano and Grigson because both of them are yes-men and they don't make him feel inferior. Polian was very good at his job, very intelligent, and also quite arrogant. I'm sure he made Irsay feel like a dope many times. Pagano and Grigson are both in way over their heads in their current positions, and Irsay is fine with it because it allows him to step in and play armchair coach/GM again.

I used to be fine with Irsay as an owner…but those days are long over. Along with our days as being one of the better-run organizations in this league. I read that Manning was interested in part-ownership of the team, but Irsay didn't want to give it up, which just makes me despise him even more.

MANY Colts fans are fair weather fans. If Irsay doesn't already know this he will find out soon if the L's keep piling up.

I don't think you can call somebody a fair weather fan when the lose interest when the team isn't committed to winning

people aren't really frustrated with the losing they are frustrated that nothing is being done to stop the losing.

Agree.

And many are very much Fair Weather.

So the combination of these two groups losing interest will really impact things.

Problem is, next season people will still watch and care. If it's a bad season, fans will be done, and they fire everyone.

Hire a new coach, energy renews.

Waste another year with Luck in between.

If you root for another team because your team is losing you are a fair weather fan. Plain and simple.

Agreed. That is the definition of a fair weather team. Indy happens to be one of the worst at it. Don't know why. Beautiful stadium and decent prices tickets.

No kidding. Look at how many became Bronco fans over night. That was ridiculous.

Did Irsay know he was in Houston?

I'm looking for updates that he found his way back to Indy.

Seriously, I think this means his mind isn't made up, and the reports published Friday morning were from Pagano's camp.
