The thing is the Patriots offense isn't the same with the backups, they simplify and change it to put the backup in the best position.  This season their offense is something like 22nd in DVOA, not good.  That's why I can't put much credence to the 'system QB' argument, because they're not running the same offense.  Plus a defensive coordinator has a certain amount of guessing to do with a QB they haven't seen before.

Belichick is one of the best coaches in NFL history, and Brady has undeniably benefited from that.  Would he be the same if he was taken by the Browns?  Doubtful.  He has absolutely had the benefit of having a great coach, but they are much better with Brady under center than without.  The team that went 11-5 and missed the playoffs with Cassel went 16-0 the year before with Brady.

I don't even have a favorite NFL team, I'm just get tired of people minimizing what they've accomplished or not wanting to give credit.  They've been the most dominant team in the NFL for the last 15 years, which people hate as a Yankees fan I get that, and having a Hall of Fame coach is a big part but so is having one heck of a QB.

Not to mention a scandal here and there.

That's the thing its bigger than just Brady. It doesn't matter who they are missing they will always be just fine, Gronk has been out as well and they keep on winning. To say you cant put much credit into the system QB argument is absolutely baffling to me because what you went on to say further helps the system argument in my opinion. Any player he brings in almost always has a career resurgence or at the very least they are a very good starter. Thats the way Belichick has always been, he has his basic schemes and concepts but he is flexible based on who he has playing. Thats the exact reason he has the fourth most wins in the regular season the most in the post season. The defensive coordinator argument holds absolutely no water in my opinion, youre basically trying to say that having a 2nd or 3rd string QB leading them to wins is because a defensive coordinator has to guess? Im sure any coordinator would rather have to deal with that situation than go against someones QB1 because they are backups for a reason.

Also no one has minimized their accomplishments aside from Brady if anything people are giving Bellichick more credit. I do think Brady is a good QB but I dont for a second believe he is the best ever or one of the best ever. The hate for the Patriots and Yankees have nothing to do with their dominance its how they go about it that people hate. People hate the Yankees because of how much they've always spent to field winners(I personally have no problem with it) if their payroll was the same as everyone else people wouldnt care. The Patriots hate comes from numerous cheating scandals.

Luck has been tagged as 'Questionable' for Sunday's game.

For this season, the NFL changed its categories:  Previously, the "questionable" category reflected a 50-50 likelihood of playing, and "doubtful" meant a 75-percent chance the player wouldn’t play. Now, "questionable" simply means that "it is uncertain as to whether the player will play in the game," and "doubtful" means that "it is unlikely the player will participate."

According to NFL injury-reporting guidelines, players considered questionable for a game have a roughly 50 percent chance of playing in the game. The NFL eliminated “probable” as an option on injury reports this season.

But coach Chuck Pagano on Friday said Luck would play Sunday against the San Diego Chargers, insisting the NFL's highest-paid player is fine.
