He was a friend of mine and we hung out when he was offensive coordinator at UK under Mummy with Tim Couch.  Great, funny guy.  I told Mike one time I will root for you except when you play IU.  The gang would get together at my house and watch UK basketball games and grill steaks in the winter. So sorry to hear this!  Sucks big time!

Sorry for the loss of your friend, Nips. He was one of my favorite people that I never had the pleasure to meet.

You two being friends is somehow not surprising at all and makes me like him even more.

He was a rather smart guy. Graduated from Pepperdine University Law School too!

The stories coming out on ML on twitter have been wonderful to read the last 2 days. I am a huge fan of his and have been for a long time. The stories further reinforce that.

There for a while he was living in the Left Field Lounge at Miss St lol

They asked him when he planned to move out, he said "never". Hahaha

He will be missed.

"Quick, think of a way to distract the fanbase from the fact that they hate the coaching hire we made and all of our guys are opting out of the bowl meaning we're gonna lose by 40..."

"BREES!!!"

New Coach Walters' comments, with my translation of what he really means in parentheses:

"When I first heard about Drew coming back to help coach our guys for the bowl game, I was hoping the rumors were true," (I WAS REALLY, REALLY PISSED)  Walters said. "Our players have the opportunity to learn from one of the greatest leaders in football history, (EVEN THOUGH THE RAT BASTARD HAS NEVER COACHED ANYONE AT ANYTHING) a valuable experience that they will never forget (BECAUSE ALL OF THE MEDIA WILL BE ABOUT HIM NOW). Drew taking time out of his busy schedule (CONSISTING OF COUNTING HIS PENSION MONEY AND WATCHING GUY'S GROCERY GAMES RERUNS) to coach the bowl game is a perfect example of Purdue football being one big family (THAT APPARENTLY I AM NOT A PART OF IN FULL YET), and I cannot wait to see him on the sidelines in Orlando. (TO KEEP AN EYE ON THE BASTARD THAT CLEARLY WANTS MY JOB)"

Northwestern almost got their athletes employee status.

This is another try at it.

Is this the sort of thing that’s limited to the plaintiffs or does it automatically have broader scope? If the athletes won in this case, would it apply only to the USC athletes and then serve as a precedent for other actions or would the changes be universal?

This.

which would likely make it universal
