Penix throws for 473 yards against MSU. DeBoer is proving to be a big time coach. Womack is shutting out Ok St at the half. Hard to believe Allen had all that talent here at one time.

Having those 2 was the definition of catching lightning in a bottle.

Its sad cause that year will always be known as the 'Covid year'. We had the talent to succeed regardless. But people are always gonna write it off cause of the circumstances surrounding it

It gets written off because we returned most of our starters the next season and then went 0-9 in the Big 10. Hard not to see 2020 as a fluke.

It’s insane to me that guys get ejected for weak ‘targeting’ penalties that are nothing more than guys making football plays but an absolute cheap shot like the one on Travis Hunter doesn’t get you ejected.

Remember when the SEC used to be, ya know, THE SEC:

Florida road loss to Utah

South Carolina home loss to North Carolina

LSU neutral field loss to Florida St

Bama home loss to Texas

Arkansas home loss to BYU

Texas A&M road loss to Miami

Unless I’m forgetting one, their best out of conference win is Mizzou’s home win over Kansas St on a last play 61 yd fg.

Colorado was a fun story to watch this year, but now the Deion Ssnders slurping from the media has made them impossible to watch

ESPN is just nonstop Deion Sanders, and it's not fun. But it's been a problem for ages, as their desire to put all their eggs in one basket make following other stories impossible.

They gotta hype it to insanity so they can tear it down even harder.

And then this targeting penalty. Not even close to the dirty play that sent a Colorado player to the hospital. Please. Make it make sense!

Sent from my SM-G986U using BtownBanners mobile app

And now one of the best players in the country is out for weeks.

LSU is the best team in the SEC which is the 3rd or 4th best conference so far this year

Thus far the SEC is the 5th best conference.  Or you could say they are in last place.

SEC does look very pedestrian. That brings up a question, who looks like a really good/great team though? I haven't watched Michigan, USC, Penn State or Washington(!) yet. Georgia, Texas, FSU, OSU, ND....none of them look like #1 to me.

I am SOOOOO ready for Bama to lose a couple more games and be out of the discussion. DO. NOT. LIKE.

Agreed, but he's a big personality and is the new shiny thing, it has been a compelling story so far.....I am calling my shot that his approach is not sustainable though. I'll call my shot and say: A) CU is gonna wilt under the constant spotlight, losing at least 4 games and B) Deion won't be at Colorado in 3yrs. I am not sure if he's a good coach or not, at Jackson St and so far at CU he's gotten by on superior talent. Good win at TCU, but struggled at times againsts overmatched NU & CSU at home, actually shoulda lost Sat.

Imo the coverage is because college football fans are desperate for something new. How many years now has college football been the Bama/Georgia/SEC show? They (with schools like Clemson/OSU,LSU sprinkled in) have dominated the landscape. Not saying that Colorado is a title contender or anything, but Deion and Colorado are something new and exciting. I like it, personally.
