Yeah not sure what was going on there, because I’m pretty sure he had to cut ties with Pointsbet before he got “hired” by Purdue. Doubt they’d let a sportsbook employee be a college football coach in the first place.

A saw that a week after Brees was hired that the company cut ties with him. Not the other way around and not before the hire. Brees was hired on the 15th and PointsBet announced that they had cut ties with him on the 22nd.

I couldn't believe Purdue compliance pushed that hire through with him still being employed by Pointsbet, but it surprisingly doesn't look like it's against the rule. College players, coaches, and staff can't even bet on overseas Cricket matches, but they can endorse those companies - unless they're in NJ. Wild.

Some local guy news...Carson Steele from Center Grove transferred to UCLA.

Whole bunch of college coaches kicking themselves for telling him he was a LB.

Watched him dominate the MIC conference as a freshman which is unheard of with high school freshman in that conference

Kid is a monster. No one in the MAC could stop him either and Chip likes to run the ball. Good situation for him.

Any reason why? To add another cupcake?

At IU football they should only schedule automatic wins in the non conference. With playing in the East every win is important so no need to schedule oisdible losses. When coaches jobs are on the line if you don't make a bowl then this is the route you should go.

Yes. Allen needs all the easy wins he can get to try to salvage his job.

I wonder if IU will try to get out of the ND series too? Idk why they scheduled them in the first place. IU being a crappy program needing easy wins isn’t something new.

Yea let’s not try to improve the program to compete with the likes of a Louisville. Let’s take the easy way out. Cowards.
