Troy Williams - Taiwan Beer (Taiwan Super League)

Recommended Posts

Disappointed for Troy in his lack of playing time.  Got to believe he will get an opportunity.  He needs to be ready and make the most of the game opportunity.

He was the 14th or 15th guy to make the roster so his lack of playing time is normal. Hopefully he makes the most of it when he gets a shot.

Troy finishes with 18 and only one turnover in 35 minutes!

He started the game, and in a one possession game, he's on the court for the finish.

For an NBA team that is now 11-6.

Wow.

If only he played with that much control when he was IU......

Started again, played a team high 35 minutes. 2-13 from the field. Definitely his worst game.

If he played that many minutes and shot that poorly, he had to have been playing lock down defense or something, right?

Memphis Grizzlies General Manager Chris Wallace today announced the team has assigned forward Troy Williams to the Iowa Energy, the Grizzlies’ NBA Development League affiliate.

Williams (6-7, 218) has appeared in 24 games (13 starts) for the Grizzlies during his rookie season and averaged 5.3 points, 1.8 rebounds and 1.00 steals in 17.4 minutes. The 21-year-old, Hampton, Va. native went undrafted in the 2016 NBA Draft after his junior season at Indiana University and signed with Memphis as a free agent on Aug. 8, 2016. He currently leads all undrafted NBA rookies in steals per game.
