LIHoosier Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 Not if Beilein/Michigan have anything to do with it. Forde wrote an article about avoiding another Bielfeldt situation. (Max had to win an appeal to be able to transfer to a B1G school) http://sports.yahoo.com/news/michigan-limiting-spike-albrecht-s-transfer-options-224019956-ncaab.html Quote
mdn82 Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 That athletic office is straight up hypocrites. They like that grad transfer for football. But Beilein doesn't like training someone for 4 years only to have them transfer and play. I got a solution for that. QUIT RECRUITING OVER THEM AND TELLING THEM MONTHS IN ADVANCE YOU ARE DOING SO!!! ThompsonHoosier Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 I thought he had pretty much retired and given up on basketball altogether? http://www.freep.com/story/sports/college/university-michigan/wolverines/2015/12/11/spike-albrecht-retires-hip-michigan/77139936/ colonel06 1 Quote
rebelhoosier848891 Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 I loved Bielfeldt ---but I would pass here. We have enough players recuperating from injuries and I like our new recruits at guard. Exception--I would jump at the Simon kid from Arizona. MartintheMopMan, HoosierAloha and ALASKA HOOSIER 3 Quote

I've said too many terrible things at Spike to make the mental shift. It's not like Max where he didn't really play us much. ALASKA HOOSIER and rebelhoosier848891 2 Quote
Kepner Posted April 1, 2016 Posted April 1, 2016 I'd pass as well. Injury problems and is a defensive liability more than Zeisloft and JBJ. He didn't play at all this year because of hip surgery and he has had them in the past. He would be a great leader but thats about it. We may not have the most experienced guards next year but with Rob, JBJ, Newkirk, Cujo, Niego, and Gelon all in the mix I think we have enough guard wise. Class of '66 Old Fart Posted April 1, 2016 Posted April 1, 2016 I'm not interested in going after Albrecht for multiple reasons, but it is interesting that Beilein has caved into the bad PR he's been getting and it serves him right. Quote
