Floored by Tony Stewart on the Indy pre-race. Between the suit, the Mel Kiper hair and the tortoiseshells if his name wasn’t on screen I don’t know if I would have known who he was until he spoke.

Lots of lead changes...  Wild race at the end.

The 2026 Indianapolis 500 set a new all-time race record with 70 lead changes, surpassing the previous record of 68 set in 2013. 

A comparison to previous years highlights a massive shift in racing strategy and parity.  70 lead changes among 14 different drivers, culminating in the closest finish in race history.

It's not, or so I have heard....Rumors are it's about 70% to scale.  Churchill Downs and the Rose Bowl are bigger than that, but the place is massive and the picture is terrific.  I went to my 4.....   I won't date myself THAT much but I haven't missed a race since the year Tom Sneva won.  The middle of the race is still a drag sometimes and was yesterday..until the red flag.   I was happy to see them racing at 219-220 rather than 213 like last year.  That was a race....and an incredible show.  The second flyover was one of the most awesome things I've ever seen.  F-16's flying east to west right at the crowd in the main front straightaway grandstand with after burners on. As my college aged kids said, it was "sick."

Swedish announcer dude is bringing it. Pretty stark contrast to the Canadian Grand Prix which didn’t bother to show the leader for the last 25 laps because after Russell blew up Antonelli was running completely alone.

Yeah, a former Apple designer helped with the design?  That explains a lot, but 0-60 in 2.4 seconds shows the mechanical is on point.

Part of what has always made Ferrari sexy is the sound.  Some manufacturers didn't need an EV.  Ferrari didn't need an EV.

Ferrari makes some finely sculpted machines, but that's ugly. Not cybertruck ugly, but still bad.

1st thought when I saw it was that it’s in that atrocious blue because some Maranello executive saw it and said, “You are not putting our red on whatever THAT is.”
