Walking Boot of Doom Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 Interesting note I saw from Zach Osterman, no current Hoosier has ever played Kentucky. Would be a nice W to throw on Yogi's resume. theriverpilot, X-Hoosier, WayneFleekHoosier and 2 others 5 Quote
pumpfake Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 Part of me wants to say elite 8 or maybe s16 would be good enough - but only getting that far (with nothing even close in the intervening 3 years or so) is simply not up to our standards. Elite teams or semi-elite teams aren't satisfied with such modest results. Quote

X-Hoosier Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 At least the Sweet Sixteen* 9 of his last 10 tourney teams have been to the Elite 8. Which is ridiculous unless you're John Wooden. FortWayneHoosier, Bobman1 and Naturalhoosier 3 Quote

MartintheMopMan Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 Elite 8 or final four. Championship though would be better I have trouble figuring out anyone but Wisconsin who can keep us from the Final Four if we made the Elite Eight. Once you beat UNC who beats you but MSU? Not Xavier or WVU. I also have trouble maintaining my expectations because of it. Except for losing to Chatty this draw is a whole series of "well, no one could beat them" teams. Like the ideal draw to avoid a hot seat almost regardless of performance. Quote

I think Indiana could get by Press Virginia but likely not Xavier. Didn't get Bluiett. Damn it Creaaaaaannnnn ALASKA HOOSIER 1 Quote

Any loss to kentucky won't help much imo Quote
Baltimore Hoosier Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 Gotta beat Chattanooga and Kentucky then see how things play out. Maybe even pray for a huge upset with Stony Brook. Beyond that, Providence is a dangerous team and could give UNC some major problems. They have the size and athleticism to match up and start a couple 1st round draft picks in Dunn and Bentil. All that said.. Gotta at least be in the Sweet 16 or Crean needs to move on. Anything past that wouldn't surprise me due to the fact that guards win in the tournament, and this IU team has great guard play. Everyone on the floor is dangerous from 3. Wish there was another legit big man on this team but I really feel like something special could happen.. That's my two cents. Quote
