Who knows I do know that he is a Nashville native and use to coach high school basketball there and was an assistant at Vanderbilt and during his playing days played at Lipscomb which is in Nashville. Maybe that’s what he does or maybe since he is tapped into the Nashville scene maybe he heard some news that changed his mind

Meyer changed his mind? Did I miss something?

Any particular tweeters of interest to follow for UCLA? I'd like to follow/stalk them for the weekend like I'm doing with the Kansas guys.

Edit:  Didn't mean to quote you A.j. Meant to quote another and clicked yours on accident. Thought I'd canceled it but guess not.

I honestly just never hear much from ucla in general. I know some of it is a regional thing, but.. it just seems like their location gets them a lot of recruits. Does it to anyone else?.. I get they have a lot of NCs, but what else?

It's a blueblood program with a wonderful location and prestige. They have big shoe company affiliation and are willing to recruit dirty to win.

It's in LA so players get to play against pros during the offseason. I remember that being very appealing to Wilkes.

I don't really see their true prestige... like fan support, things like that. Idk, they don't even sell out many games.. just wouldn't be for me, I guess.

Wouldn't be for me either but their appeal is undeniable and understandable.

They have a history of winning and getting guys to the league quickly. That's 90% of the battle for most recruits.

How important is it for Langford and garland to want to stay close to home? If it's really important, I don't see Kansas or ucla as threats

UofL was a huge leader for Romeo for a long time. One of the reasons was proximity. Langfords are a very close knit family. So, for Romeo, I would think yes. Garland, not sure.

I don't know for sure but the idea of being about 4 hours away would be a positive for IU. They will likely be able to attend most home games. They're also with a reasonable drive for several other B1G universities for weekend games.

Champaign, West Laffy, and Columbus are all about 5 to 5 1/2 hours drive. Iowa City, Madison, Evanston, Ann Arbor, and East Lansing are only an 8 hour-ish drive.

Plus it’s still far enough away where he can get that freedom that every typical 18 year old wants

Their attendance is HEINOUS, especially for a “top program”.

Agree with your points, but Romeo and Garland definitely seem to appreciate fan enthusiasm.

So who do we feel better about? Garland? Romeo? Or both equally?

I think it’s both. I think the talk that they’re both having “good” visits is good for us. There’s no “they knocked it out the park talk(at least yet) so i feel like this weekend probably doesn’t change much for us. But I don’t think either UCLA or KU are our biggest opponents for these guys.

Oh I definitely think KU is our biggest for Romeo. I haven't seen anybody pick UNC
