Class of '66 Old Fart Posted December 15, 2016 Posted December 15, 2016 6' 11" Jacob Epperson ('17) a kid from Australia could be interesting to see how good he may be as he's an uncommitted 4-star big. http://247sports.com/Player/Jacob-Epperson-45572373 HoosierAloha 1 Quote
BtownBanner6 Posted December 15, 2016 Posted December 15, 2016 I'm excited to get to see Jackson do his thing, and I think Langford will struggle unless he's unconscious from 3 because that paint will be shut down. Epperson will have his way I imagine. Quote

HoosierAloha Posted December 16, 2016 Posted December 16, 2016 Don't see this kid going to KansasSent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile appMy guess is Duke, UL with outside shot. I've heard IU shouldn't even chase. Napleshoosier and ALASKA HOOSIER 2 Quote

Class of '66 Old Fart Posted December 16, 2016 Posted December 16, 2016 Point #1. This game really isn't fair. A bona fide high school team playing a basketball factory. Kinda like a mid-major playing the Cavs. Point #2. I've seen an awful lot of tweets about coaches/staffs in attendance for this game but absolutely no mention of IU. Surely we didn't blow this game off. IUsafety and Alford Bailey 2 Quote
HoosierAloha Posted December 16, 2016 Posted December 16, 2016 Remember when IU could recruit Indiana kids?Sent from my SM-G920V using BtownBanners mobile appHas IU ever recruited Southern Indiana at a high level? Only a few that I can recall. Tommy Baker, Pat Graham, and Sherron Wilkerson. This isn't exactly IU territory. GloryDays and Napleshoosier 2 Quote

mdn82 Posted December 16, 2016 Posted December 16, 2016 Well, we can't recruit Indianapolis well either. Let's face it. Coaches/Players in this state do not like either Tom Crean or IU or both. John Beilein recruits better here from a football school.Sent from my SM-G920V using BtownBanners mobile appAtleast that is working out well for Michigan. You do realize you cherry picked the one team Crean has done well against right?Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Walking Boot of Doom 1 Quote

WayneFleekHoosier Posted December 16, 2016 Posted December 16, 2016 Marvin Bagley did his thang! Billy Preston has all the skills. Got outplayed but he is a tremendous talent. Cody Riley for UCLA is solid.Missed first game with LaLu. I wish we had the Michigan State connection with LaLu. They are a top program. Always seem to get top talent, especially lately. So, we had no coaches there? Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners mdn82 and HoosierAloha 2 Quote
mdn82 Posted December 16, 2016 Posted December 16, 2016 Yeah Wayne I was impressed with Cody Riley too. He has a body and game that is college ready. He is a solid get for sure.Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Quote
reconmkd Posted December 16, 2016 Posted December 16, 2016 Despite IU's chances on landing Romeo, there should at least be some effort to try and sway an in-state player of this caliber. The intro to the game last night on ESPN was all about the history of the Hoosier state and basketball with a lot of IU. Yeah Romeo live 10 minutes away from Louisville, but its still Indiana and there are a ton of diehard Hoosier fans that live down here and would likely love to see him in candy stripes. A woman that I work with son goes to New Albany High School and says Romeo is a great kid, smart, well mannered, and has a bright future, would hate to see him wasted at a 1 & done school like Duke, pUKe, or Kansas. I didnt get to go, had a stupid meeting and Im the Chairman. But, I had a couple buddies attend. 1 UK and 1 UNC fan. Said it was a good time. Saw several selfies with Self, Nate James and Painter. Evidently Self was the life of the party. Both guys got pics with him. The UNC fan is a HS coach and said Self was cool and talked basketball with him for a good while. No mention of any IU staff. Pitino was there as well but wasnt interested in pictures. Edited December 16, 2016 by Alford Bailey Quote
