I have been thinking a 4 is our best possible seed. But, I am no expert on the selection seedings. I sure want more than 3 games in this tournament run.

it just all depends on the next 2 games and the big 10 tourney. If people are projected us as a 5 seed with our current resume which is 5 top 50 wins with 2 of those on the road if and this is a big if we win our last 2 games add 2 more 2 25 wins with one of them begin on the road our resume starts looking strong. Then if and it is a big if we added a BTT title as well depending on the 3 games we played you could add 3 more top 50 wins on a neutral court (Purdue is the 8 seed as of today in the BTT). With 10 top 50 wins and 5 of them being away from home I would say the 2 seed would be our best possible seed in my opinion. It would also depend on what the other teams fighting for those higher seeds did as well

no they have contingency brackets in place depending on the outcome

iirc, that's really for a team either on the fringe of the bubble or a team with no chance of making the tourney getting the auto bid.

they have stated in years past they have contingency plans for teams playing the late games and used examples like wisky last year. If they would of lost the BTT they would of been a 2 seed but since they won they were a 1 seed

I like our odds in a 2nd round match up with UK

I think we're simply a better team than UK, and I don't care what anybody says i'll take Yogi over Ulis all day. I'm really trying to figure out how most brackets have UK as a higher seed than us. They have 2 quality wins compared to 3-4 for us (depending on if you count Wisconsin).

Iowa will fall in their seeding.  They've lost their last three straight and 4/5 with their only win at home over Minny.  Maryland will also most likely fall with losses in 3/4.  IU really needs to take care of business at Iowa and at home against Maryland to possibly pass them in seeding.

Let's go Hoosiers!  I want a 3 seed!

Bring on Kentucky---we match up well with them.

I think the Hoosiers end up a 4 seed like biteoftheapple stated.  IU will win another regular season game, and should win at east one more in the BTT.  To me, that should lead IU to a 4 seed.

Regardless, I'm sure the tournament committee will put Kentucky and Syracuse in our bracket some how.  lol

Seems like so much weight is put on that terrible Duke loss. Think our team is much different from then and hopefully committee takes that into account. I looked at Arizona Villanova schedules and their non conference was just as bad as ours and think we have beaten more top teams in conference.

Marylands too.

Espns brackets are such a mess. They have Indiana as a 5 playing in the Denver region. Yet they have Iowa as a 4 playing in Des Moines. Maryland as a 3 playing in providence. They also have Purdue as a 5 playing in Denver. I don't agree with a 5 seed especially if you're going to give Iowa and Maryland their seeds, but why would you have both Indiana teams playing in Denver and Iowa playing a home game? Makes no sense.
