Per Alex McCarthy - Indiana picked up its first commit of the 2017 class with Maumelle (Ark.) Central Arkansas Christian wide receiver Josh Johnson, who committed Monday night.

Johnson, a 247Sports Composite three-star prospect, is ranked as the No. 92 wide receiver in the class, earning offers from Oklahoma State, Memphis, Kansas and Louisiana Tech among interest from many others. Johnson visited Indiana on Oct. 3 for the IU-Ohio State game, earning an offer on that weekend.

Indiana offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach Kevin Johns was the lead recruiter for the 5-foot-10, 170-pound Johnson.
