It's a huge problem that IU never even seemed to really be in this recruitment either.

I'm shocked that people are shocked at Guy's selection. Has proven that he is elite against elite competition for the last 2 summers. He will be a star at UVA. He's the kind of Indiana boy that would have left IU or Purdue a legend.

Wow, that's a high guarantee for somebody who hasn't stepped on a college court yet.

i believe they were in it but like Purdue, butler, and notre dame, iu focused on higher ranked players in Indiana at that time (Gordon). Guy has stated in interviews one reason he committed to Virginia was they didn't make him feel like a 2nd or 3rd option. When he committed he was a low 4 recruit to his credit and hard work he turned into a 5 star McDonald's All American and made the local teams look bad for not targeting him higher.

yes, he sure did! And kudos to Virginia being able to identify the best talent in the state of Indiana all the way from Virginia.

I don't know about how offers are prioritized. We also offered Jayson Tatum, Harry Giles and others early. They obviously did not reciprocate interest. Didn't know if Guy was in that category.
