UNC lost to a mid major team, Virginia lost to a mid major team. As long as we bounce back, this shouldn't be too much of a problem. I wish we could just bounce back easily though. It takes leadership.

ESPN's been giving him a free ride for 25+ years. At least CBS/Turner in the NCAA tournament ended that nonsense, even if halftime interviews are completely pointless.

The blame is on the team as a whole. Questionable play call (understatement, I know) with 3.2 seconds left, but James going 1/8 from the field and the bigs playing soft are the 2 main reasons this game ended the way it did. One game does not define the season and this team still has a high ceiling. Wise words from Aaron Rodgers, "R-E-L-A-X, relax". I know I'm just as mad as anyone else but this team will learn from this.

"...this team will learn from this."  What are they going to learn?  Should have learned how to play defense after last year but I didn't see any today.   On the whole, I don't think our roster is comprised of truly team oriented players.  Too much 'I need to get my stats' for the scouts' mentality.

We really have to hit a ton of threes to beat any kind of a well coached team. We continue to lack the basic fundamentals of rebounding and defense.

 

Edit; Another serious issue is Troy Williams is a superior athlete but a mediocre basketball player.
