Guess what day it is?

Behind Thomas Bryant in line for food this morning, he's wearing a boot on his left foot. Hopefully just precautions?

He has been for a couple weeks now. It seems to be mostly precautionary. I haven't heard anyone is on a minutes restriction tonight, but I wouldn't be surprised to see his minutes limited some if he isn't needed. Not as much as last exhibition since he needs the reps, but not putting him in for full Big Ten minutes either.

Boots have gotten really common for guys his size lately, they're just so effective at minimizing the normal stress he puts on his feet so he can stress it more when he needs to. I hear about high school coaches putting kids in them all the time now. I expect to see it creeping further into the college game too.

And they're stylish too!

You were too star struck to ask him?

Nah, both are cool.

I used to like football much more than I do now. I like it less and less every year. A lot of that has to do with how much of a joke the NFL corporate office has made the game into. It's my "get me by until basketball season starts" entertainment, usually, although the Cubs did a fine job of keeping me distracted. Finally!

To each their own though.

I'm always torn on that. I mean, I feel like if I were Tommy B, I'd eventually get annoyed by people asking me that kind of thing all the time.

I worked at a food court while Eric Gordon was around, and ended up sliding over to help him numerous times because people would get all star struck and babble or ask stupid questions and stuff and you could see in his face he just wanted to get some Charley Biggs and leave. He was cool about it though.

I've mentioned before that Luke Zeller and I seemed to haunt the same places when we were both in Bloomington, so I'd see Cody fairly frequently too. He was great about interacting with fans and taking pictures and everything they wanted, but man, it must blow to not be able to even top your frozen yogurt without a line of people waiting for you to sign their Subway wrapper.

No wonder there are so many songs about annoying fans.
