Class of '66 Old Fart Posted December 19, 2015 Posted December 19, 2015 As big of an event as the Tarkanian Classic is, you'd think someone would provide some individual game stats or, if they have, I just haven't been able to find them. WayneFleekHoosier 1 Quote

Miller'sTheMan Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 Man, that Bryant/Davis front line is going to be a pain in the ass for teams to deal with. JaybobHoosier 1 Quote
WilJos3390 Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 I still think we'll have a lot of options around the perimeter. I'd be shocked if Troy and JBJ turn pro. Just flat out not good enough right now. Davis is going to boost our front court. Bring back a few key perimeter parts and add to them could be something special. But that'll be decided then. Quote
Hoosier116 Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 They may try to go pro but they ain't getting drafted Quote

Miller'sTheMan Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 Rojo Blackmon Williams Davis/Hartman Bryant Wooooo Not going to be many teams with the size to stop that starting 5... I mean you're looking at: 6'3 6'4 6'7 6'10 6'10 Quote
WayneFleekHoosier Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 Rojo Blackmon Williams Davis/Hartman Bryant Woooooif it works out that way, next year could be fun. Highly, highly unlikely. Starting 2 bigger guys with rebounding efficiency is a must in my mind. Bryant isn't a great, or even good rebounder yet, though. Combination of limited hops and average hands. Add a Rawle in there somewhere and I will be really excited. HoosierAloha 1 Quote
Yogi'sBicep Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 Rojo Blackmon Williams Davis/Hartman Bryant Wooooo (Hartman is such a good player) Then you got a bench of OG(6'8), Morgan(6'7), cujo(6'3), Newkirk(6'1) Maybe Thon (7) // Rawle(6'5) That's a talented, tall, & season group. Love it. WayneFleekHoosier and JaybobHoosier 2 Quote

Class of '66 Old Fart Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 Aurora Sentinel - Jan. 5, 2016: Boys Basketball: Overland’s De’Ron Davis is Colorado’s lone boys McDonald’s All-American Game nominee AURORA | Colorado only has just one shot at sending a player to the 2016 boys McDonald’s All American Game, but it is a really good shot. Overland senior De’Ron Davis, a 6-foot-9 center who has signed with Indiana University, is the lone boys player from the state to earn a nomination on a list released Tuesday by McDonald’s. Overland senior center De’Ron Davis is Colorado’s only boys basketball player to receive a nomination for the 2016 McDonald’s All American Game in Chicago. (Photo by Gabriel Christus/Aurora Sentinel)The McDonald’s All American Games — for boys and girls — are scheduled for March 30 in Chicago at the United Center, home of the NBA’s Chicago Bulls. The boys game, the 39th all-time, will be broadcast on ESPN at 8 p.m. CT, following the 15th annual girls game at 5:30 p.m. CT. ESPN has televised the all-star games for 19th straight seasons. According to McDonald’s, this season’s group of 24 boys and 24 girls will be selected from a pool of 755 senior nominees from 49 states and the District of Columbia to play in the games. Nominees came from high school coaches, athletic directors, principals and members of the McDonald’s All American Games Selection Committee, which will pick the rosters. Rosters will be announced during the McDonald’s All American Games Selection Show on ESPNU, scheduled to air at 8:30 p.m. MT Jan. 17. “It’s through dedication, hard work and their time off the court giving back to their schools and community that these students are being recognized,” Jay McAvoy, McDonald’s Owner/Operator, said in a press release about Colorado’s nominees. “It’s an honor to have them representing the Denver area in the 2016 McDonald’s All American Games and we wish them the best of luck.” Going into Tuesday’s night showdown between his 8-0 Overland team and 7-0 Regis Jesuit, Davis has averaged 15.6 points, 9.9 rebounds and 5.0 blocked shots per game in his first seven outings. He is coming off a 20-point performance Dec. 19 in helping the Trailblazers win the championship of the Platinum Division at the Tarkanian Classic in Las Vegas. Davis’ former teammate, currently University of Wyoming player Austin Conway, received a McDonald’s All-American Game nomination last season. HoosierHoops1, HoosierAloha and Ranger78 3 Quote
