If we don't get some decent recruits signed this fall, the only thing I'll be agonizing over this winter is whether we'll be able to get someone really elite for our coach next year and how they'll do entering into recruiting late.

Recruiting begets winning and winning begets recruiting. Crean understands this but fails to deliver in most occasions on both accounts. Add to the fact he doesn't win games with his coaching prowess explains what we have witnessed for 7 years.

He is an above average recruiter but not elite. He is a good/great developer of talent and individual skill. He is a subpar in-game coach.
