GOP Debate...

Recommended Posts

I don't get that impression from him personally, but I also like Cruz so I may be a little bias.

I mean... I don't know a lot of about him, I'm going strictly off of tonight. He just doesn't seem genuine about anything he's saying.

So there's this:

 Follow

Thank you to Tom Brady, Coach Ditka, Coach Bobby Knight and all of the many champions that have been so supportive!

I have no trouble believing Bobby Knight is a Trump supporter.

Just finished watching it. I felt Rubio and Bush did a great job tonight. Carson and Trump fell for me, especially Trump.

I really liked Rubio, Cruz, Bush, Huckabee, and Christie. I am not a Paul fan at all. Trump could never go into detail because of his lack of experience, same with Carson.

I loved Rubio's honest passion that he possesses. I share a lot of similarities with the guys I listed above. Bush did a good job helping his status IMO.

A lot of good stuff tonight!

Bush versus Clinton would be like choosing to get punched in the Balls or Kicked in the balls. Either way you will be in pain. We will get more socialism and bigger Government. I would say my top three are Cruz, Paul, and Rubio.

I don't think Bush would be as bad as people think. I can't stand Paul.

Ha, highest I had was 69% for Biden (which I gotta say surprised the heall out of me).  The rest were all within 10%.  Seems like I am far more in the middle than I thought.  No, I would never vote for BIden.

They had Howard Dean for a choice of who I would vote for in the election today, but not Pataki? What a weird test.

I also got Biden. I wonder which answers pushed it that way. I totally would vote for him, purely based on the Onion's caricature of him which is amazing. Any President who steals copper from construction sites so that he can pay for wax for his T-bird is all right with me. He would get a bonus vote if he used the slogan "Been Biden My Time" and shot a shotgun out the window every single rally.

But, it didn't have any of the issues that were important to me. Namely, effectiveness and understanding of the legal system. I don't know if any of the Republican candidates managed to keep my vote after their ghastly interpretation of the Judicial system last night. What's Ross Perot up to?

Tort reform does not work. All it does is disadvantage the people who are hurt by doctors. Look at Texas for the prime example of a state that underwent extensive tort reform and it didn't reduce their healthcare costs at all. Healthcare costs are driven up because of the entirely messed up way hospitals, insurance companies, and government payers interact. This is compounded by a lack of meaningful choice for consumers. Competition is mostly impossible for the largest healthcare expenses and mostly impossible for individual consumers purchasing insurance. Unfortunately, there isn't a free market solution that doesn't involve extensive regulation (hardly free). The bigger insurance companies and health organizations get, the worse it gets for consumers, but the barriers to entry for new insurance companies are massive which reduces competition.
