NBA finals Golden State vs. Cavs

Recommended Posts

they probably didn't. Just watching a game and you'll see it as consistent as carrying. Neither are called unless it is absolutely obvious.

And even when it's obvious it depends on the level of the player whether they call it or not.  Makes sense

What?

An hour until the tip of game three. Not sure if the Cavs can pull it out tonight, but I'm thinking they win one of two in Cleveland.

I was trying to move the NBA talk from the IUWBB thread back to the this thread at the generals order. I quoted someone there to bring back here.

If role play X takes 4 steps it's 65.7% more likely to be called than if star player LJ or star player JH to get called. In my opinion, that degrades the game and fundamentals have been sacrificed for highlights and excitement. The NBA is good for entertainment but not so great for competition.

This is just an empty narrative that people try to sell. Yes, NBA players travel and get away with it. Probably more so than in college or any other level. The travels that go uncalled generally do not happen when a player is advancing to the basket, looking to score, etc.

I also don't buy that the star treatment is as bad as detractors make it out to be. Does LeBron get some calls? Absolutely. He also gets fouled on 75% of his drives to the basket and they often go uncalled. Stars will get more calls because they have the ball more often.

The majority of arguments against the NBA are grossly exaggerated (by people who don't watch it) to try and make a point. The NBA is not the NCAA. It never will be. I prefer college the college game, but it isn't necessary to manufacture arguments to try and bash the NBA.

I really think the missing piece for golden state is going to be david lee. He's a threat to score down low when delly switches and I really don't understand why he hasn't played more. If curry shoots anywhere close to how he did in the 4th I see Golden state taking game 4

Am I the only one who respects Joey Crawford for saying "shut up" in one of the cavs players face? After all the whining they do someone had to say it lol

He's overall a terrible referee so one thing like that doesn't do much for me. He's the TV Ted of the nba.

Glad to see Lebron is so humble, LOL.

I mean it is true. What is he suppose to say, he gave a reason he is confident he can pull a team, that really kind of is bad without him at this point, to a NBA championship. Dude is putting on an amazing performance on the biggest basketball stage in the world.
