Coach Crean being awesome!

Recommended Posts

He was at Shireman's Farm Market in Corydon two weeks ago and was great to all the people there...noone hounded him or anything, they treated him like a resident. He responded like he was one of us...true character person...prolly why these players think they can roll all over him...they have taken advantage of his "realness"...(if thats a word).....which makes me even more mad at those players who couldn't get their act together.

Very funny but not right!

Hard to not root for coach when you see stuff like that.

These kind of things reinforce my belief that hes a great human being but it does nothing to change my opinion on what his ceiling is as a coach. I don't ever root for him to lose. I think that's the most ridiculous thing that our fanbase can do. I hope, for his and everyone else's sake, he can adjust and achieve what his resume says he cannot do. Field a team that consistently contends for conference and National Titles.  Sorry if this seems cold hearted. *Insert cliche about "the truth hurting sometimes."

This is the side of him that probably comes out in the home visits.  I really do think he has his players' interest at heart.  If you look at the number of players able to play professionally over the years, he is teaching them how to play after college.  Building a team that can compete without glaring weakness is his issue.

I want nothing but for our coach, whoever that is, to be successful.  He can continue his tenure if he comes out of next year with a good season and a good balanced 2016 recruiting class.  Glad to see this good image for the program.  The "Movement" wasn't such a good thing for us.  Let's hope the knuckleheads are all gone!

I am glad you posted this.  No doubting Coach genuinely cares about his players and people. He has strong faith which helps us with many recruits and especially their families.  I love the community service he has the team to do at children's hospitals, etc.  It is great to see a Coach who gives back----and wants his players to be caring and service oriented difference makers in the world. We gripe at him for the things he does wrong.  We need to give him credit for the things he does right!
