I think you're way over projecting how people are speaking about him. I think the excitement over him staying is totally fair considering he was first team All-B1G last year. If he comes back he will be a top contender for B1G player of the year and can be an All-American. He makes our team go and is the PG we need in order for the offense to keep rolling like it did at times last year.

He's not Isaiah but if he leads us to a final 4 he's easily a top 5 PG in program history.

He's sort of stuck through things when it would have been easy not to, given his success as a freshman.   He's not an efficient scorer, he's not big, he's "not" a lot of things; but he IS the face of the program right now; and he's a local kid, so I'd say he's earned the right to be something of a cult hero.   When  Yogi Ferrell lets the game come to him, and plays first as a distributor, he is very, very good.   When he plays "scoring catalyst" and decides he's going to look for his own shots and points first, he frequently struggles.    I can't see him leaving...too much unfinished business.

His mom passed away from the cancer she was battling this week. I think a big reason he was going to leave was to help pay for the treatment. He announced that he would take some time and think the decision over under the new circumstances.

I'll take a stab at it:

"2k" is obviously NBA2k, the video game.

"Nobody can see me" might mean that:

1. He'd be too short to be seen in NBA2k,
2. Nobody WILL BE seeing him in NBA2k anytime next year (that would be my favorite interpretation),
3. He's so fast that he'll be a blur in NBA2k starting soon, or
4. He's simply playing NBA2k on a Friday, and doing quite well!
