2015 Big Ten Tournament Game Thread

I enjoy watching Pettaway but he kind of plays the role of their savior/problem. He puts up ALOT of shots,  but is not efficient at all. Last year he had a lot of shots fall but I think teams have kind of figured him out this year. He helps Nebraska out a lot but is the downfall of the team as well a lot of the time

I've noticed this as well, the kid is the definition of a volume scorer.

Chambers at a school where he could recruit or with a good recruiting assistant could be special I think.

I think he's a good coach but I'm not sure he would be anything special.  A lot of what he does is getting his team to play harder than the other team.  I could see him rubbing some of the higher profile recruits the wrong way.  If he could recruit those to 50-100 players, develop them, and get them to outwork the other team he could win.  However, that is the case for most coaches.

I could see him coming off as mean to recruits, but id rather have a tough, hard nosed coach....

Watching the Journey really makes me like DJ Newbill, I'm happy for Penn State hope they can continue their season and their a team that gives it their all every night out there. Really hard not to like the Nittany Lions and there basketball Program.

OT. Can someone PM me what the deal with Bracey Wright is? Good/bad why do people bring him up all the time? I didn't follow iu during the Davis years. (I'm young and recently graduated)

Bracey was a superstar talent that took tons of shots. Made a good amount but not enough. Deemed selfish. Took bad shots. 1 way player. Maybe? Takes more heat than he deserves. Has made a lot of money playing overseas for a long time. I think another problem was he was an "out of state" recruit that no one really identified with. Just didn't play "Indiana" basketball.

I was young, thus I actually liked him. Haha

He would have turned out better if Davis would have coached him instead of letting him run the show. He was pretty good actually and started out a higher ranked recruit than his Texas high school teammate Deron Williams. Bracey had a sweet stroke from well behind the 3 point line. He shot his freethrows a foot behind the line. I actually liked him too at first ,he just never seemed to get any better.

I remember him taking 25-30 ft 3-pointers several times. He actually make a few but wow, talk about bad shots.

Bracey Wright was the scape goat when people took a few seconds off ragging on Davis. BW was a good player but got thrust into a leader role too soon. His freshman year when Coverdale and Jeff Newton were still on the team, he really shined with those two. He lead the team in scoring all three years he was there but I think a lot of pressure got put on him. So much pressure that he left IU early for the NBA even though he wasn't projected as a 1st rounder.
Also I remember him shooting and hitting lots of deep 3s and his free throws from deep.
