I believe we need 2 wins to be in for certain. Either both regular season wins or a 1 out of next two and then 1 in the BTT. But I believe we need 2 more wins total.

We are certainly in if we win the BTT. If we go 4-1 over the next 5 with that loss being the BTT semis, I'd say we will be closer to a 6-7 seed. If we happen to win the BTT, probably a 5 seed. We would gain 2 or 3 more quality wins just by doing that.

I have previously stated that I am history's No. 2 optimist, right behind George A. Custer.

 

Therefore, I have demonstrated that optimism by plunking down $10 on IU to win it all this year (via a friend who recently went to Reno).

 

I have also demonstrated loyalty...and more than likely, financial stupidity.

 

But that's what great fans do!

 

I might add the last time I placed such a bet (through the same courier, although she placed it for me in Vegas that time) was in 2002. When Gayle placed the bet for me, the sports book agent asked if she was sure then. This time no one asked. Hopefully we'll go equally far this year (plus one so I can cash that ticket).

I wouldn't, sure your 2nd round opponent would be harder as an 8/9 but your first round opponent is going to be a top 25 team as an 11/12. Does anyone here think we can beat a top 25 team anywhere other than Bloomington?

I predicted IU being on the Bubble, and hate that I'm right! With the way the season was going, IU looked to be a solid 6 seed.
