NOLA Hoosier

Cracking the Top 25

Recommended Posts

If Penn State hits that shot .2 sec earlier and sends the game into OT, we lose.

If Illinois has R. Rice, we lose.

We beat an ok OSU team AT HOME.

We beat a bad Nebraska team.

Our only real games so far have been UofL and MSU and we get blown out by 20 in each.

I support IU 100%, but let's still be realistic here.

and you know we lose based on what exactly. I'm sorry I didn't realize you could see into the future.

I'm trying to point out that our 14 wins have not been that impressive to me.

Most think we are over-achieving.. I believe we have underachieved. Want the best for everyone. Go IU.

Wins don't have to be impressive at all. The fact is that we've won. We've had our awkward moments but the key is that we are winning. Last years team had awkward moments and lost. Heck teams have awkward years and win championships(not saying thats going to happen this year). Wins are wins.

Hopefully a Maryland win will be impressive for everyone!

We all agree we are not elite YET this year---but we are progressing and moving in the right direction.

To me---several of our wins have been impressive----Butler--SMU---Pitt---OSU---and ANY win on the road in the Big Ten---even Nebraska and Illinois.

We still have work to do---but we are winning the same close games we lost last year... that's IMPROVEMENT!

Then Abrams and/or Nunn don't go crazy from deep.  Do they still win?

Good one.

So your super hero power is to predict the hypothetical future that never happens? That's a crappy super power.

Have you witnessed the huge disparity in college basketball these days?

ANY ANY ANY win is cherished.  I will take an ugly win any day of the week.  a good loss is harder to explain than a bad win.

Are we a great team? No We are a decent team  learning how to play together and working hard.

Ill take that all year long compared to that crap last year.

I think CTC has learned from some mistakes and has made  changes in his approach both on and off the floor.

Doesn't really have anything to do with the top 25, but the best place that I have found for bracket purposes is bracketmatrix.com

It looks at the seedings of about 50 different brackets on the internet and averages them to see where teams would end up. Pretty cool to look at. Currently has IU averaging a 9.31 seed, but as a 10 seed because of other higher averages. We also only appear on 49 of the 55 brackets, but some haven't been updated since last week.

One more "if"...from my assistant principal, Bruce Burns, circa 1967:

If a today had wings, he wouldn't bump his ass on the ground all the time.

Sorry it's a TOAD not a TODAY, sheesh, my fingers are rebelling today

And if the Packers had caught that onside kick they would be in the Super Bowl. So your point is moot

This. Closing out tight games is a much more valuable experience than blowing out an opponent. It'd be nice to see that we can blow someone out, but this team is building a maturity and poise that will be valuable in the tournament.
