As far as the dumb it down remark, that seems really condescending and uncalled for..

The arrogance in this post is astounding... didn't realize Indiana fans were that intelligent. It's surprising more posters here aren't in the college game. Hell, maybe SC is Frank Martin. I don't know.
 
When was the last time I was impressed with one of our out of bounds plays? Not sure. Maybe when we were leading the nation in scoring ATO. It's funny to me how much some nitpick things. Out of bounds plays? There are a hundred things more important than that. Come on.
 
Bottom line is if the guy had the visual appearance of a Stevens or Alford, he wouldn't get half this crap. But so many look at him as a dork who hyperventilates on the sideline because he isn't the best looking guy around. It's hilarious to me! Grown adults get themselves to think and talk like this!
 
You guys can forget about your daddy's IU coming back. It's over.


Out of bounds plays kinda count when the game depends on getting it inbounds or getting a shot with time running out. Just like blocking out, good defensive positioning n knowing where the ball and your man are at all times seem trivial but that is how you win games against good competition. We have lost more than one game on out of bounds plays over the last few years. So yes it does matter!

This guy is doing his best to reveal his own basketball inadequacies the more he posts.

My posts have absolutely zero to do with dorkiness, diet cokes, tans, etc...

I couldn't care less about that stuff.

Just coach the boys up and make good decisions. In bounds plays, zone offense and defense, blocking out, overtraining fatigue, overuse of dribble drive offense, winning games, understanding TOs, understanding momentum, understanding appropriate sub patterns. These are the types of things I care about.

I HOPED he was THE GUY. I wanted it to be him. Still do if he could prove it. I FEAR quite strongly unless he can recruit Zellers, Oladipos, Wades it is not based on the above concerns.

Anyone worried about said game tomorrow? Which team shows up tomorrow, the Ying or the Yang?

I'll be ecstatic if a gritty, bust-ass, expend energy on D team shows up.

  If they don't show up to play tomorrow hope for a successful Big Ten season heads south dramatically.

Have to hold home court.

I look for them to be fired up and ready to rock. Go Hoosiers!

I don't remember a single poster on here talking down crean because of his lack of looks. Indiana is a basketball state. A lot of these people, I would assume, were born and raised in this state. In that assumption, I would have to generalize that most of them played basketball for years. Not everyone here wants to be a college college. But maybe they were high school coaches with many more years of experience than even iu's coach. To make the argument that crean is a smarter basketball mind than EVERY high school coach in indiana is an extremely stupid, narrow minded statement. I would have to say that most posters here know the inner intricacies of a zone, what works against it and what doesn't. I would also say that most posters on here know the deficiencies of this year's indiana team, as well as past years, even in our "daddy's" iu. Knight wasn't the best at everything all of the time either. The one thing he did preach was the fundamentals of basketball. It is a concept that has seemed lacking for a few years. But then again, what do I know? I guess since I just played basketball my whole life, and coached at a level lower than the college ranks, that I wouldn't have the genius intellect of a college coach. Lol
