I was actually sitting behind an elderly gentleman that told me he was kinda hoping IU would have lost because he hates CTC so much. Really? Is that what we have come to?

I'm in the same boat.

 

It's an average of 20 wins a year over 15 years, but teams play more games today meaning more chances to get wins so 20 isn't the measure it used to be.  Just a thought when I'm feeling conflicted about this too.

Still early in the season---but we are seeing signs of improvement.

 

Since the rebuild---Crean has built us into contenders 2 of the last 3 years-----this year we see if it becomes 3 out of the last 4 which is the consistency we all want to see.

 

If we beat New Orleans and Georgetown--- we get ranked in top 25 again and will hopefully be on our way to yet another contending year.

Thought Stevens showed a lot of class today by saying Crean is a good coach and doing a "helluva" job and doesn't deserve the speculation being spewed by many in the fanbase and the media.

 

If Crean gets IU into the top part of the Big Ten this season and makes the tourney and advances----that will quiet the critics for another year.  We shall see!

Which two years are you referring to being contenders and what are your expectations of being one? Certainly your pedigree knows what a real contender is and why not state as such?
