The main reason Crean will get fired.

Recommended Posts

I don't know about a new leaf, but outside the EW game, the team has played pretty well. The game plan for Pitt was spot on and I'm excited to see what's in store for this team. Another motivator is I have never been a Louisville fan, Denny Crum, or anything that sits directly south of the Ohio River. I just hope we come out and punch those thugs right in the mouth. I have seen them play and its another what you see is what you get from them. No class is a compliment compared to their head coach and dump for a university. I hope we get to play them every year, as it stirs the emotions. Do the players need a pre game speech?

if...

schoosier can drum up the type of motivation it takes to believe..

then...

by God...

Yes, I agree that's one area that he has lacked albeit many. But in the spirit of the season and for this team as a whole, I am willing to put this aside and just root for the team and Crean. Its what you do regardless of how you feel about him, since nothing gonna keep him from coaching this team and us being Indiana fans/ alumni is most important. Heck, I hope we kick Louisville's a$$ up and down the court, win the B1G, and make a deep run in the tourney. Even if it saves Crean's job. I just can't help myself for what's most important as difficult as many of you may believe. Now, we have a long season ahead of us so don't expect miracles lol.

Couple of decent wins and all of a sudden you're making me look like the Grinch. :)

I wouldn't go that far but we have a lot of positives to build from the Pitt game.
1. Alley oop passes. We have thrown more the last couple games than in the entirety of Creans tenure. Finally taking advantage of our teams strengths is pleasing.
2. Getting Yogi somewhat under control. Him settling for mid range jumpers instead of driving the lane, leaving his feet, and making poor passes although he still had a few of them.
3. Using the team's shooting ability in cohesion with their penetrating ability. We can shoot layups, kick for threes, or throw alley oops. Which one do you want to defend?
4. Watching the development of Holt which goes hand in hand with Hanner as well as the other bench players. Get them all to buy into their roles, accepting them, and them flourishing at them. Hartman, Z and Stan comes to mind but even Yogi and Troy also. They don't have to do it all.

If I'm game planning Louisville, I pack in a zone and make them prove they can hit the the shots. They are terrible shooters. I think they will press us, so I would have Yogi play underneath it and get him the ball. Their size and strength has me concerned but you counter it just as we did Pitt. Our best chance imo.

If they need a speech, I always have one on hand.

In less than an hour, basketball players from here will join others from around the country. And you will be launching the largest basketball battle in the history of mankind. "Mankind." That would should have new meaning for all of us today. We can't be consumed by our petty differences anymore. We will be united in our common interests. Perhaps it's fate that today is the 9th of December, and you will once again be fighting for our freedom. Not from tyranny, oppression, or persecution but from Tourney elimination. We are fighting for our right to win. To dominate. And should we win the day, the Ninth of December will no longer be known as an Indianan holiday, but as the day the country declared in one voice: We will not go quietly into the night! We will not vanish without a fight! We're going to live on! We're going to survive! Today we celebrate our Overachievement Day!

Someone post the video of Calbert blocking a shot then getting in the face of them. Here comes Pat Graham, Matt Nover, and another player ready to go. We dont back down from Louisville. Classic Indiana team basketball!

Wasn't that Dwayne Morton's shot that CC blocked?
