Cal taking FULL advantage of rule changes

So, I am a Law Student in Indianapolis. Today was like every other Tuesday. I got off work at 1 o'clock and headed towards class. On the way, I passed by Ruth's Chris at the same way and time as every other day. For those of you that don't know, Ruth's Chris is one of the best steak houses in the city (so I am told, again poor law student).

 

Parked in front of the famous Ruth's Chris is a huge bus. I was thinking to myself, "hmm I wonder if it is a musician or maybe a professional team?" I pay no minds and continue on my way.

 

When I get to the other side of the bus, I turn my head and find a sign saying "University of Kentucky's Men's Basketball Team." Now, I am not sure how much it would cost to feed a team of 15 players at Ruth's Chris, but my guess is it would be a lot more than I could guess.

 

Also, as a recent college graduate (IUB 2013) and current student I couldn't tell you the last time I had a nice steak. Players being taken advantage of my backside.

 

Anyway, I thought I would share my story with my fellow Hoosiers.

I played lacrosse at a small school in Ohio last year. Sometimes, if Coach was really happy with us, we got chipotle after games. 

 

Makes me hate pUKe even more. Which I didn't think was possible.

I've eaten there a few teams. Pretty darn good and expensive too. It's menu is a la cart. Since they aren't having alcohol (the players), probably between 50 and 70 dollars per student.

That is what I said. But This was about 1 o'clock and they won't play until 9. 

 

Who knows, they may have only had $40 salads and water.

I'm a little confused.  Did you actually see the players in the restaurant?  The Hyatt is across the street.  Just trying to clarify.

I'm a little confused.  Did you actually see the players in the restaurant?  The Hyatt is across the street.  Just trying to clarify.

It has dark windows so I wasn't able to see in the restaurant. It is possible that they were in the Hyatt, but the bus was on the street, on the other side of the street, and directly in front of Ruth's Chris. I just put that all together.

Well then this imploded quickly. That is what I get for reporting my general observations. I will leave the investigative work to the professionals from now on.

Allow me to derail the thread:

 

The University of Kentucky men's basketball team has no scholarship players who have any interest in a college degree, their program makes a mockery of the concept of a student athlete, their coach is a violation waiting to happen, and their fan-base is atrocious.

 

Kentucky sucks.

Well then this imploded quickly. That is what I get for reporting my general observations. I will leave the investigative work to the professionals from now on. 

 

In fairness, St. Elmo's and Ruth's Chris have essentially the same prices.

I realize after I wrote that it could come off as rude. I didn't mean it in that way. Everyone was just posting logical explanations and reasonable alternatives (not to mention citing people that know). I was disappointed in myself more so haha

Eh that'd be an easy mistake to make.  You see the team bus in front of a certain steakhouse it's not really a leap in logic to assume that's where they are.

Ruth's Chris or St. Elmo's, they're both luxurious dining steakhouses where you're going to spend $50 a plate.

 

Cal is right, Kentucky really isn't for everybody.  Like vegetarians.
