IU vs UIndy Post Game Thread

I can't help but to think you're formerly, "CampCrean?" ;)

Sent from my iPhoney. Yo.

I said in my post I'd be happy to jump in the "Crean is literally Satan" threads. But keep that out of these threads. One of the only times this site is about hoops and not an episode of Days of our Lives

There has to be some obscure youtube channel making the connections between Crean being the anti-christ out there. Nobody knows about it, but it probably exist.

I was very impressed with Hanner. He got two fouls pretty quickly, but managed to play through it. I don’t think he got another foul all night. And while his effort wasn’t "stellar", he was very serviceable. Not sure he can survive like that in the B1G season, but if he keeps improving, who knows?

You are right .. He just needs minutes and they are committed to give them to him

My thoughts?

Hanner was plenty fine. He has not had any significant minutes in his IU career except for when Noah was out last year. He did pretty well at times during that stretch. He will still be inconsistent, but better than last year. And that's a legit playable big.

Rojo has the strongest shoulders and best body control of any freshman combo guard I've seen at IU in a looooong time. Shoulders are a huge key to ball-handling and defensive positioning. For Robert, it is there big time, and it is instinctive and natural. What a great, great addition.

Rebounding was, and will continue to be a big weakness of this team, but keep context; our second and third best frontline rebounders were out, as was our best rebounding guard.

Sh!  Don't say that!  We are braving the cold and coming up for that game!  I'm gonna be soooooo ticked off if they lose!

Umm---I know we are short handed but I don't see us losing to a Mike Davis coached team in the Hall!

Talk about a Hoosier Nation meltdown if that occurs!

I also have to admit I underestimated Hartman---I had no idea he could be this good this early---or that he would impact the game in so many ways.

He's going to be one to watch as we go forward as well.

I really--really--like this team from top to bottom----can't wait to watch Holt come out and develop too!

I am really happy for Hartman. Had to be a huge confidence booster of a game. I am still not convinced but my glimmer of hope has risen. He's still slow and a poor dribbler. If he can continue to knock down the open look, that will be the key. Because his BB smarts and Hustle seem to be a given. He just has to take and hit the open ones like he did last night.

Tbh, if all I had to go on was last nights game I'd say Hartman is worlds better than Z3 (I don't think that but I think the gap between them isn't that large) Z3 lacks athleticism too. It honestly comes down to hitting shots.

Presbyterians are the ones you gotta watch out for...they have a matchup zone that's smothering!

Just fyi, Duke is a Methodist institution.

Not sure how this worked out, but Presbyterian plays Duke at 6 on Friday- I has to rewind and pause to make sure I wasn't crazy :)[attachment=1348:ImageUploadedByBtownBanners1415755951.501756.jpg]

If anyone was concerned about IUs sluggish start to our exhibition games, don't worry too much.

I'm watching the Nebraska vs S. Minnesota game on BTN right now (replay, Nebraska wins by 20ish)... They have started off really slow as well. Southern Minnesota is up 22-9 with 8 minutes left until the half.

Bad rebounding, poor shooting, and lots of turnovers. These exhibition games are good for fixing kinks. But nothing to be concerned about

Teran Petaway is struggling, seems to be pressing too much.

Was this game scheduled before Davis became their coach? Wow, one ex IU coach against the next ex IU coach. Who will out coach the other? Talent will be in our favor, but if everything was equal; it may be a wash. I will say graduation rates goes in Creans favor, but having kids stay out of trouble goes with Davis. The tiebreaker probably goes to Davis as he got to a championship with Knight's players. At any rate it should be an exciting game full of dribbling the air out of the ball for a last second chuck from 3 land. Some tenures duplicate others in many ways.

Wait a second... I thought you LOVED Coach Tom Crean.

Now I'm confused - make up your mind!

Honest question: why do you continue to repeat your position? Absolutely everyone knows. Smile, man.

Grumpy old man who's best days are long behind him. Crappy 20 years of IU basketball has beaten the hope out of him. 15 more years of last year and I'll be posting the same things lol.
