Grumpy old man who's best days are long behind him. Crappy 20 years of IU basketball has beaten the hope out of him. 15 more years of last year and I'll be posting the same things lol.

Was this game scheduled before Davis became their coach? Wow, one ex IU coach against the next ex IU coach. Who will out coach the other? Talent will be in our favor, but if everything was equal; it may be a wash. I will say graduation rates goes in Creans favor, but having kids stay out of trouble goes with Davis. The tiebreaker probably goes to Davis as he got to a championship with Knight's players. At any rate it should be an exciting game full of dribbling the air out of the ball for a last second chuck from 3 land. Some tenures duplicate others in many ways.

I have to say this made me laugh. Not you, but in general. I understand the frustration. The Crean momentum was so great IMO. I thought we were on our way. It's like the chair was pulled out from under us.

But this post comes across as funny yet very depressed. Like you've had up to your ears with IU mediocrity. To the point of a laughable level.

Funny. That's what it is. 20 years of pain of underachieving. That's about where I'm at. Lol. Beaten and bloodied but still battling. Haha. That post had 20 years of IU angst nicely placed into 1 paragraph.

It was made to be funny and I'm happy you got it with a few others. When you have witnessed 20 years of greatness all the while being a student to relish in the pinnacle, you have to realize many other relish storming the court against Illinois at home in an 8 win season as their barometer. And they call me depressed? If only they had something to compare it to? Grumpy is a far cry from me or of my feelings of IU basketball in general. Things are actually in the upswing and you have to bottom out AGAIN to start moving up. At least we're not North Carolina that cheated for their last 2 championships. Things were in place except the most important thing; someone who can coach. The eternal optomist in me sees the rainbow; where no one uses apologies in their username. Especially for our coach. Go Hoosiers!

 I was working with a very young overly annoying Ky fan  a couple years back and brought up the fact that IU actually had a winning record against them until somewhere in the Pitino era.

He basically called BS in front of all his mouth breathing cohorts.I looked it up and showed him.His response was So IU is a has been.

I later became depressed thinking about that . These last twenty have been really taxing for us old timers.Its tough trying to hold down the front line down here in the south against this horde of Blue clad miscreants.

So schoosier I'm with you on this one.
