They are the definition of a team that has a great player and that's it. They go as Oscar goes. He took over. Not much outside of him. Yale could be a team that is scary if they get in the Big Dance. They didn't back down. IU/Butler/Notre Dame and Stuhoo 2 Quote

I don't like the renovations there. If you have never been it was like a shopping mall/food court and when you go upstairs you enter Corrupt I mean Rupp Arena. They got rid of it. My wife was not happy. Kentucky is like us..nuts about basketball. We were driving in and about THREE hours before their game they had their radio pregame show on...three hours before a game against Yale. I will say they do something cool after the game. They have the player of the game/coach Cal come out and fans can stay and watch their postgame show. Cal signs for anyone that has a basketball. You can ban me but I kind of like Cal. Deep down he's a good dude. Talked about the one year anniversary of the tornado and the current flooding issue in Kentucky. Side note: when I'm there I can still see Mike Davis falling on the floor when Fife fouled Williams. str8baller, Stuhoo and southsidehoosier 2 1 Quote

Yeah, he does. And it speaks volumes about the nature of fandom that the guy took over a listing program, turned into a top 3 national program for a dozen years, and the fans think they can do better. Jesus. It’s petty wild, innit? His greatest crime was being way ahead of the game in the 1-and-done era. Coach K would come along and steal his thunder in that regard and be lauded. I hate his stupid dribble drive offense, but was always impressed with how he got a bunch of highly recruited freshmen to gel on defense by the end of the year. I would say UK fans are stupid for driving him out, but unfortunately Indiana seems to be the only blue chip program that can’t hire a coach. UK, Kansas, and UNC all seem to land on their feet with new coaching hires. So what do I know? Quote

Before the IU series resumes and that is why he agreed to it. Just my take on it. hoosierbgh 1 Quote

I don't think he's very good and if not for the crazy run last year he'd be on the hot seat already there. Let's also not forget they hired Daugherty and UK hired Gillespie. Don't always land on their feet. Kansas got it right with Self after Roy and it'll be awhile before they have to try and get it right again.Sent from my SM-G996U using Tapatalk HoosierTrav 1 Quote
Alford Bailey Posted December 11, 2022 Posted December 11, 2022 So who saw Fletcher Loyer coming in averaging 13 ppg and 28 min on a top 5 Purdue team this year??? Not this guy. Quote

cthomas Posted December 11, 2022 Posted December 11, 2022 Painter does a really good job of finding guys who fit what he is trying to do. I think he is a top ten coach and, if not at Purdue, a pretty easy guy to like. His teams have been good when on paper they shouldn't for it not to be coaching. HoosierAloha Posted December 11, 2022 Posted December 11, 2022 Forgot to give props to Xavier. They attacked the rim with the game tied late and left with the win. I guess they weren't featured on Sportscenter so did they really win? HoosierHoopster 1 Quote

Uspshoosier Posted December 11, 2022 Posted December 11, 2022 I’m glad to Key playing well for Tennessee but selfishly I would have loved to see him play with the current ISU team. Sycamores finally getting some separation from Southern Indiana. Up 10 with 11:30 to go Quote
Uspshoosier Posted December 11, 2022 Posted December 11, 2022 I thought was enough cushion for Isu but I was wrong. S Indiana just drilled a 3 to tie it with 33 sec to go. Quote

Uspshoosier Posted December 11, 2022 Posted December 11, 2022 Maryland down 6 with 8:40 to go. Tennessee D is good their Offense can be terrible at times HoosierAloha 1 Quote
