Jeez. Armaan Franklin was wide-open for a straight-on 3 -- nobody within 5 feet of him -- and didn't hit a thing.

Total airball.

I’m glad he doesn’t play for us!

Armaan Franklin has been a very low efficiency/high volume offensive player this year. Transferring from Archie to an "Archie-like" offense has done him no favors whatsoever:

STATS
2021-22

GP    MIN    FG%    3P%    FT%    REB    AST    BLK    STL    PF    TO    PTS
10    29.0    39.3    20.4    81.8    2.2    1.5    0.3    1.3    2.0    1.1    11.3

It's not just shooting %, though his % is not good at all. That 3pt % is on 5.4 three point attempts per game. For example, Parker Stewart, who seems to be a volume three point shooter at IU, has 10 less three point attempts. And ten more makes!

2.2 rebounds per game in 29 mpg while playing the three spot is pretty bad too -- that's about half as many per game as last year.

Still question why he went to such a slow offensive system. He could have been really good under Woody. Could have flourished under any coach that played more uptempo and got him out into space and going downhill a lot.

Saw that Loyola and DePaul had renewed their Chicago rivalry the other day -- and I've noticed Loyola on TV a time or two -- so I got curious as to how our old friend Damezi Anderson was doing.

He hasn't played at all this year. Not a single minute. Haven't seen anything about an injury, and he's still listed on the roster, so it's not like he quit or transferred again. They've had some major blowouts in which you'd expect most on the roster to get some garbage time -- but not a second for Damezi.

Amazing how far he has fallen. He was rated in the top 100 as a senior and the No. 2 senior in Indiana behind Romeo. Obviously, he was overrated, but he did seem to have a little bit of game. But when he came to IU, he'd go in and just freeze up. He'd be wide-open from the wing or the top for a 3-pointer and either not hit a thing or nearly break the backboard with a horribly errant shot. Archie always said he was a hard worker and if I recall correctly, said he was the strongest player on the team.

Still can't figure out what happened to him. Feel bad, because he seemed like a really nice kid. Never expected him to be a star, but thought he could give us 10-15 minutes a game off the bench.

saw that. Do you know what for?

Seems odd since he is in his 4th year of eligibility.

Not sure the tweet I saw earlier in the year was that him and 2 other guys were red shirting.   COVID year gives him an extra year so maybe he saw no playing time this year and decided to wait a year but I’m just guessing.   I will be surprised is he plays for them next year
