IU has had 9 matchups between the two. Syracuse/Maryland??? Purdue 0, IU 3. Purdue’s preferential treatment in scheduling this event is unbelievable. The challenge is primarily about interesting tv matchups. Even with our “dusty” banners we get prime time matchups vs the premier ACC teams while there are years PU plays Boston College on ESPN the ocho. HoosierAloha 1 Quote
Dhop Posted December 9, 2020 Posted December 9, 2020 If I’m espn I’m locking down Hummel as a color analysis and putting him on college gameday. He is really good at his job Got to admit I really enjoy Hummel in this role. LamarCheeks Posted December 9, 2020 Posted December 9, 2020 Still almost 5 minutes left and Iowa has 17 3-pointers. I wouldn't be surprised if we go all season without making that many in a game. Quote

TheWatShot Posted December 9, 2020 Posted December 9, 2020 Purdue was up 18 at the half and lost by 4...to a team that had 3 scholarship guards available. If Archie Miller still can't beat that team this year, he should resign. Good lord, that was pitiful. BGVille Hoosierfan 1 Quote
BGVille Hoosierfan Posted December 9, 2020 Posted December 9, 2020 Duke about to get blown out of their own gym. Illinois, along with the rest of the B1G is SO GOOD! Penn State, one of the worst teams in the B1G is taking it to one of the ACC’s best, Va Tech on the road. All of the B1G should get a free pass into the tourney this year. My word! Also, how funny is it that Purdue is going to be the only B1G team to lose tonight, could’ve won the series in the first night but Purdue had to Purdue. Quote
woodenshoemanHoosierfan Posted December 9, 2020 Posted December 9, 2020 At halftime of the Iowa-UNC game ... Host: "Colorado-Tennessee. First game for the Vols. Coach, what does Rick Barnes have this year?" Seth Greenberg: "Rick Barnes has the best team in the ACC." I thought I heard him say that, but chalked it up to not having my hearing aids in.Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk HoosierAloha 1 Quote

The one time Purdue played Duke, they got stomped. And the game was at Mackey. Purdue doesn't draw on a national level. The people doing the scheduling want a lot of eyeballs on Duke and UNC. They don't get that if their opponent is Purdue. Quote

They are loaded underneath and their young guards will get better. Illinois has a lot of weapons and Iowa has multiple guys that can stroke it. I can see why they are in the top tier of the Big Ten. I know why it is the way it is, it’s just annoying. Especially when Purdue fans try to tout their elusive winning record in the series as if they have anything to be proud of there. Quote

Let’s put it this way: This season Fort Hays State wasn’t as good as Washburn, Emporia State, or Nebraska-Kearny, but they were 13 points better than Kansas State. I’ve never thought of Bruce Weber as a dirty coach, but if Aminu Mohamed commits to Kansas State there’s got to be a bag of cash involved! Class of '66 Old Fart 1 Quote
