My cable company (yes, I'm one of the dinosaurs who still has it) is offering a few free premium channels during the pandemic. So last night, I watched the Showtime doc on the 1976 unbeaten team for the first time. Although it came out three years ago, I hadn't seen it. I have to admit, I got a little teary eyed at the end. ... I still remember the title game against Michigan: I was 7 years old and watched with my mom (a big sports fan and IU alum) -- she was in tears that night. 

I don't know what's more amazing: that those fellas went through the entire season without losing a game -- or that the previous year's team was even better!

True.  Also, and to have one of best players (Bobby W.) leave the game in the first half and not return - yet still win convincingly.  I think Wilkerson said (as of a few years ago) that he still hadn't watched the tape of the game.

They return everyone too. I’m in the very small minority of liking Shaka smart, so I see them as a fringe top 35 team next year. Hopefully they don’t underperform like usual haha

I’m not positive if it changes really anything. I tried looking it up to because I was going to posting it in tiny piece I put out about it.

I guess Baylor could have played one more game this season. But other teams like Villanova, Kansas, Michigan played 31 games in a 3 game multi team event.

Evan Daniels reporting Wake Forest has fired Danny Manning.  He was 78-111 in 6 seasons; his best season was in 2016-2017 with a record of 19-14.

I’m confused as well.

Maybe it means you can only schedule 28 or 29 games but if you want to get to 31 you have to play in some tournament.

Since the season ended so long ago, this almost seems like firing a coach in June. ... Did the administration wake up and all the sudden, say, "We just realized: We've been pretty awful over the past six seasons. Time to get a new coach." ... Timing seems very odd.

Wonder if his buyout anniversary just came up and knocked the payment down a nice chunk.
