Needs to be an asterisks next to that championship....worst B1G season in history. Only Purdue will be ranked at seasons end and will be highest seeded B1G team with a 5 seed. Woof

An asterisk needs to go by 1996. They had to forfeit 18 games from that season, yet the Big Ten allowed them to keep their title. Ridiculous.

Iowa has nice core of young talent that will be competing at the top of the conference in a few years.

Probably next year. Wisconsin and Purdue lose a lot if Swanny leaves. Maryland probably loses Trimble and Dodd. I think Mason is a junior at Minnesota if so them and Northwestern are definitely top 5 teams and I could easily see Iowa joining them. MSU is probably the favorites.

Knew this wasnt a good Wisky team. This league sucks. Shoulda been us and MSU battling for the top spot. Pretty sad when just an average team like Purdue wins the title fairly easily.

Yep. 13-5 would have guaranteed us a share of the title as long as we had split with Purdue. Shame we lost our player coach Yogi

As important, according to my channel guide, CBS is having the selection show on from 5:30-7:00. They'll likely talk amongst themselves for 1/2 hour then reveal the bracket in a more timely fashion than last year. They got what was coming to them when the bracket was leaked while trying to milk it for 2 hours.

I had a feeling this was going to happen with Wisconsin.

Once other B1G coaches had some more game tape available to scout against Greg Gard, he lost his element of surprise he enjoyed a bit last year.  As soon as Bo Ryan's guys start to cycle out of there, he's going to have an even rougher time.

They should have had an outright title this year.

I agrww you are right. Last year no one daw Bo just jumping ship mid year and their film was based off him coaching the team still. I will honestly wait another one or two before giving him any credit. Ryan handed him Hayes, Koenig, Happ and Brown as well as Trice. He should have won the league but yet they fell down. I can't remember a year I didnt discount teams shot at winning in Kohl until this year. Not saying he isnt good. I just want to see him with his own team or at least some of his own team. He still has Happ and I think Brown next year which is enough not to fall to far.

Next year

1. MSU
The rest is far from easy to predict. I think Iowa and Illinois as well as PSU have contending years. Northwestern and Minny probably stay in top 6 with potential to be as high as 2. Maryland has talent but could see a drop like us this yr even without Trimble as us w Yogi, Purdue loses Edwards, Haas and probably Swanny, Michigan could be a sneaky good team and then there is us who a lot can change for the good or bad. The B1G is open as ever again next year and MSU is the only team you can pencil in as a top 3 team. Nairn, Winston, Ward, Langford all are B1G level guys and the add another good class. OSU is very hard to read honestly cause they could have as much turnover as us. Rutgers will even make the bottom of the conference next year better.

Brown was a senior this year, thank goodness. I was getting tired of seeing him sing everywhere

As far as talent coming in I see a lot of underrated kids. Wisky has Nathan Reuvers and Brad Davison. Purdue's Nojel Eastern is gonna be a star!! Him and Carsen Edwards are gonna be NBA players. Illinois has Tillmon but I like Trent Frazier. MSU has Jackson but Xavier Tillman is gonna be a Nick Ward clone. Iowa has Luke Garza and Jack Nunge and Minnesota has the most underrated kid coming in besides Clifton Moore in Isiah Washington. I love Justin Smith for us personally too. OSU, Nebraska, PSU and Rutgers dont really have much coming in. Point is next year is a perfect time to see who is gonna take control of the B1G. Oh yeah Maryland has Darryl Morsey and Bruno Fernado to add with Huerter, Jackson and Cowan. They will be hard to read if Trimble leaves though he is their heart and soul.

Good game Iowa St at WVU.

I know people like to dog the Big 12, but it's a solid conference. They have a group of 5 or 6 teams that produce a couple which are good enough every year to challenge KU. Which makes those 13 straight conf titles pretty impressive to me.  I don't think Shaka envisioned the daily grind of a P5 league to be this difficult lol

I think the conference is solid but they bow to KU. If you go back over the last 5-6 years there have probably been 15+ wth calls that have resulted in KU wins. The travel from Michaelu (sp?) where he had to clear TSA before laying it up was laughable. I guess it adds to the entertainment value so that's cool.

IU a long time ago in a galaxy far far away beat the Big 12 and ACC champions. Crazy!
