Why IUPUI had college basketball’s toughest test on Saturday | NCAA.com

NCAA ran an article on IUPUI last night.  Predictably, the Jags lost again, but perhaps they'll finally win again; they face an NAIA school Monday night.

However, they finally hit rock bottom, as they are now 358th out of 358 schools in the NET rating.

It's only rankings, so you can take it for what it's worth. But this sorta bugs me -- it's better than the Toiletmakers being No. 1, but Bruce Pearl is just so slimy and sleazy ...

Also, can't help but wonder -- had we beaten Michigan, would we have cracked the Top 25? We're still receiving voting points, but not many.

Don't understand why we keep going with the guys who are digging the hole. It's like Woody refuses to change that lineup. Reminds me of a former coach...

What doesn’t make sense is that he has sat those guys for long periods in games.  I just don’t understand why he keeps starting them.  They are vey redundant together.

I am still in the camp of starting Galloway for either Stewart or Koop.  Gives us energy to start and a scorer off the bench.

Kopp is averaging ~5 ppg in conference play and P Stew ~7 ppg. I'm not sure if that qualifies as a scorer. They're both "shooters" who aren't really having anything consistently run to get them open. I believe P Stew has it in him to get open but Kopp seems a half dozen steps too slow on both ends.

I think we would have. A lot of people with votes were on our bandwagon after the Purdue game. Then we dropped a giant turd on the table yesterday and most of them got up and left.

Wasn't saying they were 'scorers' as opposed to 'shooters', but right now the two of them are not working well on the court at the same time.  Basically that leaves X as the only guy driving in an X/Stewart/Kopp/Thompson/TJD lineup.  I'd rather have X and Galloway with the ability to drive and kick to either TJD or Thompson or outside to Stewart or Kopp, whichever is in.

I disagree somewhat.  Parker doesn’t move much at all on offense.  When he does move it’s not anything close to full speed.  Kopp is much better than Parker on the defensive end.  He is very active with his hands.

I'm not sure there is much of a win in this situation. The best case scenario is they would disrupt on defense and get out an run. If we only have 1 shooter on the floor then the defense will totally collapse and Race - Trayce will struggle in the paint. We need some players to develop in the off-season (not talk about developing but actually developing) to have better rounded threats.

Neither would ever be confused with an above average defender. P Stew gets hung on screens if he tries to get around them while Kopp is too many steps behind to contest shots. Again, neither is a plus defender.

When we actually run sets for P Stew he hits at a pretty good % while Kopp.. doesn't. Don't look at Kopp's win shares for conference play, it's horrendous. (this stat alone doesn't tell the whole story but paired with watching the games it's rather obvious)
