There are a few of us IU fans who posted for Hoosier Nation. Would have been interesting to see what he would have become.. but Archie .. probably not much. Quote

8bucks Posted February 7, 2022 Posted February 7, 2022 When did the up and under change from the low post shot fake and the move under the defender to the basket to a reverse layup? I have seen a few different announcers call the reverse an up and under this year and it drives me crazy. I even googled it to make sure I had been calling one of my favorite moves by the right name and it sure appears to be what I thought it was. Anyone else notice this?Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners Quote

Sounds like it really wasn't all that popular among the people they polled. -- 48% of the students polled were against it. -- 60% of the faculty polled was against it. -- 45% of the athletes polled were against it (45% were for, 10% said they didn't know). USI estimates they'll have to increase their athletics budget from $6.6 million to $12 million annually. Their financial model projects that student fees will go up by $500 per year. Would think that either the Horizon League or Ohio Valley Conference would make the most sense for them to join. https://www.courierpress.com/story/news/local/2022/02/07/what-know-usi-university-southern-indiana-move-ncaa-division-sports/6691820001/ Quote

Southern Indiana may have had a lot of success in men's basketball, but who's to say they won't be the next IUPUI or Houston Baptist in D-I? Not to mention... how many damn schools are there in D-I? If we gave D-II or even D-III schools a fairer media deal and recognition in which their existence is acknowledged beyond "well, what schools can we replace?", then I think there wouldn't be this endless desire by schools to constantly rush up to D-I. However, it also boils down to conference realignment, as conferences keep taking schools, and the lesser ones need replacements. It also affects UIndy as it leaves them the only D-II school in the state. Quote

They are sleep walking and not bringing that e. But they are definitely getting the whistle they need. Lol. They really called a foul on Virginia on a FT block out which gave Duke more free throws. Can’t say I’ve seen that one happen for some time ALASKA HOOSIER 1 Quote
