Pete Thamel - So what's an upset worth for a conference? Just got the detailed data today from the NCAA. UNT's win, for example, means that Conference USA brings an extra unit to the league, which is worth $337,141 for five years. That's an extra $1,685,705 for the league.

Kind of destroys the narrative that the B10 was exceptionally strong this season.  So, yes, our awful season looks even worse than thought.

Big Ten not looking as strong as originally thought. Still think Illinois is the best team in conference and can win it all. But IU was bad this year. Regardless if Stevens not coming, Dolson made the right move by making a coaching change.

They may get there eventually, but no way they start out that high. It's hard to justify ranking a team that high when they lose to North Texas in the first round and were unranked for most of this season.
