Interesting coaching choice to throw it the full length of the court when you had 8 sec to go. Only thing I can think of is that he wanted it thrown long to avoid Minny from fouling them while they brought it up. HoosierHoopster and HoosierAloha 2 Quote

I don’t think any excuse justifies this decision. Purdue snatched defeat from the jaws of victory in this one. Purdue was also something like 2-17 from 3 and still should have had it in the bag. HoosierAloha Posted February 12, 2021 Posted February 12, 2021 Wasn’t Martin for ASU a preseason POY candidate? I know he’s had some personal stuff but he’s struggled a lot this season. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners Quote

They have had injuries and COVID problems but they have underachieved so far this year HoosierAloha 1 Quote
Uspshoosier Posted February 12, 2021 Posted February 12, 2021 Conferences must decide by February 26th whether their automatic qualifier for the 2021 NCAA Tournament will be based on the regular season or the conference tournament, per release. rothstein Quote

Maybe schedule an extra game against the top two, especially if there is a tie. woodenshoemanHoosierfan, Stuhoo and Str8Hoosiers 3 Quote

But if a 1-bid conference opts to base the qualifier on season record; where's the incentive for participation in a conference tournament especially if attendance is either severely limited or even non-existent? Seems like other than personal pride it would be hard to motivate participation when even if your school came out of nowhere and won the tournament you're staying home. Quote

I was trying to say that if you've already got a Drake in, have the tourney determine the auto bid so that you can maybe get a 2nd in. Class of '66 Old Fart 1 Quote

Regardless, if some third team makes the tourney from an automatic bid and bumps a bubble Indiana team.... Hoooooooo booooooooyyyyy ALASKA HOOSIER 1 Quote

Drake needs to beat Loyola at least once this weekend before I would feel comfortable calling them in. If they sweep Loyola i would feel better about their chances of getting an at-large bid. I hope the MVC gets 2 teams in Quote
