I’m a fan of Juwan and RoJo, but in my opinion, anyone that thinks they were a more effective duo than Teske and Simpson is wearing crimson glasses.

When? I think you are looking at this from Teske and Simpsons best vs Rojo and Morgan’s worst. Rojo and morgan were the ideal role players in their earlier years and were two of the better players in the league as upperclassmen averaging 14 and 15 ppg respectively as seniors. How you look at Morgan and think, I would rather have Teske I don’t know

I don’t have that big of a dog in this fight. But Morgan vs Teske isn’t really close if you go year by year of their careers. Rojo started 118 games. He put up decent numbers offensively. Simpson impacts the game in a different way so the comparison is difficult. I prefer Simpsons career because of his impact on the PG position and how good at it he has been for 3 years. But this one is closer.

Rojo was the highest rated of the four. Morgan was third. Not a huge difference between 1 and 2, and then 3 and 4. I think the difference is having that smart PG means so much in today’s game.

Anyone know what ever happened to that 3 year deal we were working on to play Arizona starting this year? Was suppose to be home-home then Madison Square Garden for year 3.

Guessing...$$$ and investigation dialed back interest related to keeping brotherly association out of spotlight.

Simpson has already been second team all B1G and first team all B1G defensive.

Teske is well on his way to being first team all B1G this year.

And I don’t disagree on Simpson. I personally would take him over Rojo. I think where it gets closer is if you look at their overall stats. If Teske does this all year I will definitely agree. Not saying I don’t think he has staying power, it’s just there is some competition and the year is young. Even with his numbers this year stack them up against Morgan. I can see where Mike is coming from there. Michigan is off to a hell of a start. Simpson and Teske are playing a huge role.

Kind of silly comparison.

Simpson > RoJo at pg
RoJo > Simpson at sg
Morgan > Teske at pf
Teske > Morgan at c

You’d have to look at the positions for comparison.

Simpson >>>> Newkirk
Teske >>>> McSwain/Davis

This I would obviously take. I think Stu was taking the top two players off of the respective teams as an example. But I think there is a lot of context people would have to concede when comparing.

Michigan has defeated Creighton, Iowa State, North Carolina and Gonzaga. They’re 7-0 on the season. Howard is doing a magnificent job

Lets pause on that. He clearly can coach which was a question but lets see how he does with his own players and not Beilein's. Remember Mike Davis did great with Knight's players. Greg Gard did terrific with Bo Ryan's players for a bit and now is starting to tail off.

I am not saying Howard is not a great coach and he could be but you won't really know until he gets his own players in there.

The one big difference between those three coaches is that Howard knows what it takes to succeed in the NBA. That’s the ultimate goal for recruits in this day and age

He definitely has a good selling point to recruits and I think that’s what Michigan really wanted. They have this really off want of attention. They liked the on court winning Beilein but they also want the recruiting wins. It’s the look of success more than actually being successful. It’s the same in football. If they win that’s awesome, but if people just talk about Michigan, that’s even better. And they wanted to be big with recruits and Howard just might do that for them.

For me, the two most important positions on the court are pg and rim protector/low post scorer.

Exactly. He was a part of the greatest recruiting class ever. That’s definitely a huge feather in his cap
